Victor: It's just a bunch of gamma radiation here. Nothing cosmic.

Codex sighed. Of course it wasn't anything important.

Carol: Guess there's nothing to worry about, then.

Carol walked over to Victor and smirked.

Carol: Well, since you're free now, how about we go and discuss some, business over dinner?

Codex just glared at her. Could she be any more obvious? Codex just walked over and cleared her throat.

Codex: We need to head back to base and give our report.

Victor looked at her and rolled his eyes.

Victor: Fine.

Victor winked at Carol and headed back towards the jet. Carol waved at him before she realized Codex was staring.

Carol: What?

Codex: Real subtle, Denvers.

Codex turned to follow Victor. Carol just watched them for a moment before she shrugged.

Carol: Oh well. I'll see him again.

You rubbed your hands together for a moment as you listened to your dad tell you his story.

Y/N: So, the Creator kept sending you two on missions?

Victor nodded.

Victor: And over time we started to bond. We became friends. Then....something more.

Y/N: You both fell in love with each other? How? She was so scared of you.

Victor rubbed the back of his neck.

Victor: Yeah. She was. But she started to see past the animal. She saw me.

You chuckled a bit, but suddenly grabbed your head. Victor sat up as you began to groan.

Victor: Y/N....

You began to growl as you closed your eyes.

Y/N: It's happening again!

Victor: It's alright, kid. You can't fight it.

Y/N: I...I don't want to hurt anyone.

Victor: And you won't.

You looked up at him. Victor saw the wild nature in your eyes. The fear.

Y/N: But....you....

Victor: It's okay.

He placed a hand on your shoulder.
