The next few days flew by. Tommy and I spent hours locked away in his office, planning our little rat trap. I was shocked he was handing so much control over to me, he listened carefully when I spoke and considered every idea I had, big or small. Where his creativity failed, I filled in the blanks, and when the details became blurry, he flushed them out logically. It felt like we were truly a team. A well-oiled mastermind machine.

Tommy had let the guys out of the pit that evening, and we have been watching them closely ever since. It was more difficult than I had originally anticipated, over the weeks I'd grown close to most of these guys, and as lethal as I knew they were; I couldn't imagine a single one of them betraying us all.

"Hey Kiki," Thor poked his head into the cramped office, Tommy was pacing the room on a phone call while I leaned against the desk. "We're playing poker in the dining room, wanna join?"

"Oh um, I don't really know how to play.." I whisper yelled so I wouldn't disturb Tommy.

"We'll teach you, it'll be fun, c'mon Keeks," Thor resembled a golden retriever with a tennis ball in his sights, I couldn't help but giggle. I could practically see a tail wagging at the whole idea, how could I say no to that face.

I shot Tommy a glance and he held my gaze while someone prattled through the phone pressed to his ear. We had been cooped up in this room for hours and it didn't look like he was getting off the phone any time soon.

"Go ahead, this fucker won't shut up," Tommy grumbled, he rolled his eyes when the voice on the other end complained. "What do you expect, Terry. You refuse to get to the fucking point." He growled into the phone. I didn't want to stick around long enough to see that growl intensify.

"I'll be there in a minute." I smiled at Thor before pushing off the desk and pressing a kiss to Tommy's cheek. He grabbed onto my hand and held it tight, reluctant to let go as I backed away with a smirk.

Save me. He mouthed with a pained expression. I smirked and shook my head, pulling my fingers out of his outstretched hand. Within seconds his mood darkened once again and his attention was lost.

Thor was waiting in the hall, bouncing on the balls of his feet. He shot me a wide grin and threw his arm over my shoulder as I approached.

"We're playing for cash, but don't worry, I've got your buy-in." He winked, guiding me towards the dining room.

"You better be a good teacher then," I elbowed him playfully. "I don't know the first thing about poker."

We rounded the corner into the dining room and I choked back a laugh as we walked directly into a very passionate and extremely heated argument. The guys were standing around the table with their chairs shoved back, pointing aggressively and yelling over each other, it was impossible to hear what a single one of them was actually saying.

"What in the fuck..." Thor mumbled, glancing between Blaze and Viper who were at the center of the whole thing, almost at each other's throats.

I stepped out from under Thor's arm and squeezed around the table towards the kitchen, a bottle of white wine sat on the counter and I grinned to myself. I hopped up so I was sitting on the kitchen island facing all the action, and poured myself a large glass. This was the most entertainment I'd had in weeks. Thor followed suit and leaned against the counter next to me, I poured him a glass and he clapped his hands together like a basic bitch.

"So, what's this about?" I asked, both our eyes glued to the trainwreck in front of us.

"Who the hell cares, this shit is hilarious!" He held his glass up to mine. "Cheers, bitch." We clinked glasses with quick eye contact and wide grins.
