Tommy
It almost physically pained me to walk out of my bedroom and leave Keira behind, but I didn't have the luxury of skipping out on work all day to hide in my bedroom with a beautiful woman.
I've never even wanted to until now.
I descended the staircase deeper and deeper into the dark underground quarters where I conducted all of my Revenant business. Only the inner circle of my men roamed the ground floor of my compound, the rest were only permitted underground and had never even seen the inner walls of my home.
I have sentries secretly stationed for miles around the perimeter of the Revenant headquarters, not one soul has ever broken through undetected. The only way in was as my prisoner.
The majority of my men used stealth underground tunnels to access the HQ, and many even lived in the bunker descending into the depths of the earth beneath me.
It was just after 5pm when I slammed through the door of the interrogation room. I felt a sense of satisfaction when I glanced through the one way mirror to find the bleach blonde rat sitting pretty with a terrified look on his face. I couldn't wait to rip that gold knife earring right out of his pathetic ear.
"Morning sunshine, I got him ready for you." Blaze smirked from his spot against the adjacent wall, twirling a knife in his hands.
"Watch your mouth." I threatened with a pointed glare. "Did you get anything out of him?"
"Nothing but sweet lies and a whole lot of excuses." Blaze sneered.
"How long have you been going?"
"Just a couple hours, I left him relatively lucid. I knew you'd want to have some fun when you woke up from your domestic nap." He cackled, Blaze was the only member of my gang that could get away with teasing me, and that was only because he was my only friend. The closest thing to family I had left.
Any other man would have a bullet through his brain by now.
I rolled my eyes, gritting my teeth. "Why don't you make yourself useful and go get a phone for Keira, I need to be able to contact her while I'm underground."
A smug grin spread over my right hand's face.
"What's your problem." I grunted, meeting his eyes.
"No problem at all, just finding it funny how attached you're getting to this girl. You were set on killing her just a couple weeks ago."
"I'm not attached. I just need to keep track of her and I can't have you on babysitting duty 24/7."
"You've barely left her side since the shootout with her hubby." He accused. I gritted my teeth at the mention of her ex. "You have hundreds of men you can assign to watch her."
"I don't trust anyone with her." I growled, getting irritated with his overanalyzing.
"A little overprotective, don't you think?" He smirked, finding pleasure in antagonizing me.
"Just get the fuck out." I snapped through clenched teeth.
I wasn't in the mood to analyze or confront my unhealthy obsession with the complex woman upstairs. I was already struggling to push her from my thoughts and turn my attention to Revenant business.
Blaze held his hands up, feigning innocence. "He's all yours boss. See you on the other side."
I pushed through the door leading into the room trapping my prisoner. I wasted no time reaching into my jacket to retrieve my favorite knives, the same ones I tossed through my accountant's hands the day Keira arrived.
