Keira
I woke up sweating and it took me a few moments to identify all the various causes. Tommy's large, heavily tattooed body was draped over me while the thick duvet cocooned us inside it's warmth, and to top it all off, the morning sun beat down over us relentlessly.
Tommy's head was on my chest and his breathing was deep and steady. He was clearly far from conscious.
I decided I had no choice but to lay there and suffer potential overheating. I felt incredibly guilty waking him, he needed rest desperately and I had already interrupted his sleep once with my untimely panic attack last night.
I tried to focus on anything besides the heat. Closing my eyes again to feel the warm breeze drift over us. The silence was so serene, aside from the unbearable heat, it was relaxing. An occasional bird would fly through the cloudless, blue sky occasionally and I found myself sinking into a relaxed state of mind.
Tommy shifted over me in his sleep, cuddling in closer, if that was even possible. His head nuzzled deeper into my chest and his leg draped over mine. I smiled to myself and tangled my fingers into his silky hair gently, careful not to wake him.
My thoughts wandered to the mind blowing sex we had under the stars last night, or early this morning. The way his fingers clutched me until it hurt, but in the best way, the euphoric sensation of his tongue as he pleasured me better than any man ever had. I guess the saying was true, love really did make sex ten times better, or maybe it was just Tommy. My mind replayed the rated R version of events in great detail, distracting me from the heat completely.
The serenity of the desert was suddenly interrupted by the sound of engines. What the fuck? We were in the middle of a massive desert, why would I be hearing engines... I lifted my head to glance over Tommy's bulky body into the distance. Sure enough, three or more black jeeps were barreling towards us at high speeds, igniting a huge dust storm in their wake. This couldn't be good.
"Tommy!" I croaked through morning rasp. The cars were still far out enough that they wouldn't spot us up on the cliff, unless they were actively looking with binoculars. If we didn't move soon we would be on full display, considering the fact that the sun was illuminating our bright white blanket. "Tommy, wake up!" I raised my voice a bit, shaking his shoulders.
He gasped and sat up immediately, shocked out of a deep sleep. "What's wrong?"
His voice was low and husky and it was so damn sexy, I had to scold myself internally to stay on topic.
"Someone's here," I pointed towards the approaching vehicles, but his attention had already shifted.
"Fuck!" He cursed, jumping up and sliding his sweatpants on. He scooped up the rest of our clothes and underwear strewn around the cliff. "Wrap yourself in the blanket and get back to the trap door, quick!"
I jumped up and dragged the duvet with me, running out of sight as soon as possible. Tommy was right behind me. I paused, glancing around in search of the expertly concealed door.
"Over here." He called from my right as he pulled a lever, opening the trap door. He waited for me to climb in first but I struggled climbing down the ladder due to the overwhelming amount of feathers and down I was wrapped in. "Faster baby, they're going to see us!"
"Ugh!" I threw the blanket down to the ground below and climbed the rest of the way naked, praying to god there were no security cameras in this section of the safe house.
"Did you just ditch the blanket?" Tommy's eyes widened as he jumped down behind me.
"It was getting in my way," I shrugged, pulling the covers around me once more. "There are no security cameras here, right?"
