I'm so sorry this chapter took so long! I was struggling with the worst writers block and just wanted this chapter to be perfect...
I hope you guys love it, I certainly had fun writing it 😉

Keira
The cool air felt like pure bliss on my skin. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed fresh air flowing through my lungs, it was unhealthy for anyone to spend that much time underground.
The trap door was completely concealed on top of a small mountain or plateau, it was dark, I honestly had no idea what the hell we were on top of, all I knew was that we were high up with a 360 degree view of a desert. The weather was chilly but not freezing, I now understood the reason for the large blanket.
Tommy led me over to a flat spot a little higher up, closer to the edge. He wrapped the blanket over his shoulder and pulled me under his arm so it was draped over me too. He guided me to sit with him so half of the blanket was under us and the other half was wrapped around us.
"Where are we?" I asked quietly, almost like I was afraid to disturb the wildlife.
"Way out in the middle of the Mojave desert. There is a much bigger concealed door that opens up for the helicopter down there." He pointed down to the flat ground below us. I saw nothing but sand and rocks. "This is our most secure safe house, no one but my inner circle knows about it."
"Are you telling me you walked through a secret tunnel from Hollywood to the middle of the Mojave desert?" I exclaimed, staring at him like he was absolutely off his rocker.
"I would walk all the way to the moon for you if I had to." He murmured, his tone void of any humor.
A wide smile possessed my face at his uncharacteristically sweet words. "That's not even possible..."
He met my eyes, partially illuminated by the moonlight. "I'd find a way, little dark one."
I laughed wholeheartedly for the first time in weeks, after a few moments Tommy joined in, realizing the gravity of his silly but incredibly sweet sentiment.
"That's very sweet of you, but I'd be waiting forever." I smirked at him.
"Are you doubting my space walking abilities, Miss Kline?" He teased, turning on me and tickling me until I was on my back rolling around the blanket.
"No! I'm not! I'm not!" I cried through intense giggles. "Tommy! Stop!" I begged as his strong fingers tickled me mercilessly. "Please!"
"Promise you'll never doubt me again." He ordered.
I tried to ride it out but his tickling only got more unbearable. I had no choice and he damn well knew it.
"I will never doubt you again, I promise!" His fingers stopped immediately at the magic words. He sat back up with a smug grin spread over his perfect face.
I pulled myself back up and knocked my shoulder into his. "Bastard."
Tommy shot me a sideways smirk and I got lost in the innocence of his features drenched in moonlight. His arm draped over my shoulders again, pulling me into him securely, like he couldn't stand not touching.
"In all seriousness Keira, you've quickly become the most important person in my life. I don't think I could live without you at this point." I could feel him glancing down at me but I kept my eyes on the vast desert as he spoke. "You scared me tonight, the way I was woken up... I can't even put the way it affected me into words. Nothing scares me Keira, nothing but you. I never want to feel that way again. I need you to promise me you'll never run from me when you need help, I need to be the first person you come to...not the one you beg to keep away." I detected a crack in his voice more than once as he spilled all his inner thoughts under the stars.
