Shower

~ Matt's POV~
It's been a few days since the intervention and things have been getting better between Alfred and I though he still seems a little distant at times. I think moving into our old house is partially responsible due to the heavy doses of nostalgia we both get from it but none the less things are going well. I've even been able to focus more on myself and so has Alfie.
An elementary school was built across the street from our house a few years ago and I've been thinking about getting Alfred to apply there as a substitute teacher since he loves kids so much but he's worried he'll have an episode or a kid will see his scars...so we decided to drop the idea all together. But now that he's had a run in with a lady who teaches there I think he might actually give it a shot! Tino and I have done about everything we can for Alfred so maybe she can get him through the rest of the journey, and maybe I can even gain a sister. Though I have to admit this could easily backfire massively when Alfred realizes she's mortal...and he can't have her forever...but maybe he's realized it already and is just deciding to accept it. Who am I kidding, that's not how Alfred is at all, In fact he's probably have a panic attack pretty soon...shit.

~Alfred's POV~
"Hey Matt I'm taking the first shower tonight okay!"
"Okay! Just let me know if the water is brown or not"
"Better not be..." I mumbled and grabbed a towel from the hall closet before walking into the bathroom and stripping my clothes off. A cold chill rushed down my spine and a leaf got tangled in my hair, I looked over and noticed the window was open and quickly went over to close it but I stopped for a moment to look at a bright light across the street, I couldn't make out what it was so I grabbed my glasses from the counter and looked again in horror. Directly across from my window stood Christina holding a hair brush and staring at me from her window in just as much shock as me. I made eye contact for a brief moment before realizing I was stark naked and reached for a towel to cover myself up, I don't think she saw anything but holy SHIT was that embarrassing! I crouched down under my window and reached up to pull the blinds shut before standing back up. "Ohhh my god..." I slapped my forehead and threw the bathroom door open, "MATT DID YOU LEAVE THE BATHROOM WINDOW OPEN!?" Matt walked over to the stairs and looked up at me.
"Yeah why? It was hot up there-"
"DID YOU KNOW CHRISTINA WAS OUR NEIGHBOR"
"Uh no-"
"HER WINDOW IS DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM MY WINDOW"
We both stared at each other for a moment before Matt started breaking out in laughter. "Oh my god she saw you naked!!" He leaned against the wall so he wouldn't fall over from laughter. "N-no! At least I don't think so- I don't think she saw..anything"
"Oh my GOD that's fantastic, that's gonna be a great conversation starter next time you talk to her" I buried my face in my hands "I'm never going to be able to face her again" Matt sighed and chuckled once more, "she won't want to talk to you again if you smell like a caveman, go shower and I'll go across the street and apologize for you"
"Hell no your just gonna embarrass me"
"Alfred! I'm ashamed that you think I'm that shallow" I gave him a long stare.
"I swear I won't say anything bad, just go take a shower already and don't use up all the hot water"
I mumbled sarcastic retorts under my breath for a minute before returning to the bathroom and beginning my shower.

~Matthew's POV~
I can't believe after less then 24 hours Alfred's somehow managed to embarrass himself in the worst possible way- even though I'll admit it's partially my fault. But that's why I'm going to go apologize for him, so that way he still has a chance of ever speaking to Ms. Garcia ever again.
I made my way to her front door and gave it a light knock after ringing the doorbell. There was a long pause before I went to ring it again but just before I could I heard thumping down the stairs "coming!" Christina checked the peephole and opened the door fixing her pajama's. "Hi! Matthew it's good to see you again" she laughed nervously "I'm sorry, can I help you with anything?" I gave her a small smile and waved her off, "it's fine uh, I just wanted to come and apologize for..." I gestured to the bathroom window which was now closed with the blinds drawn tightly. Christina's cheeks flushed red.
"Oh yes- it's fine I should be the one apologizing I didn't mean to stare...I hope I didn't make Alfred uncomfortable"
"Oh not at all, he's just scared you think he's some kind of perv"
"No I don't think that at all..." she frowned and nervously curled her damp hair around her finger.
I couldn't help but smile a bit, this whole ordeal feels so cheesy but I love it, this is one of the best things that's happened to either of us in years. "Tell you what, why don't you come over for some tea tomorrow and we can all get to know each other a little better" Christina smiled and nodded "that sounds nice, is 12:30 alright?" "It's perfect" "good, I'll see you two tomorrow then" she went to close the door "Good night Matthew" I nodded and waved to her "night" she smiled and closed the door and I made my way back home.
