(9) Wolfe Regra?

We arrived at the pack house and I was shell shocked. It was easily the most extravagant house I have ever seen. It was a three story white house. It had a bright red roof and a black door with one of those old gargoyle knockers on the door. The only thing different with this door-knocker was instead of a gargoyle, it had a snarling wolf.

The door-knocker looked as if it was made of silver which got me wondering if they actually could touch silver or if it burned their skin when they touched it.

We pulled a now sleeping Nick out of the boot of the car and carried him towards the house. Let me tell you, sleeping Nick was heavier than conscious Nick. I don't know why because it's the same person just doing different things.

We got up to the door where we could finally put Nick down. My arms were BURNING, ok not literally, but still. Ash's mum whose name was Jess, told us to go up to Ash's room while her and her husband sort out Nick.

At first I didn't want to go, but Ash convinced me that he would be fine in her parents hands.

Ash and I went up to her room which was painted dark blue in colour and the furniture was all black and white. Her covers on her bed were white with light blue and green polka dots.

Ash sat on the bed and I sat on the black beanbag that was in the corner of her room. The first thing that came out of my mouth was

"What was he drugged with?"

"Wolfe Regra"

"What?"

"Potion of Illusions

"Oh. What does it do?"

"It's not lethal to wolves but it can kill a human if the person with it has enough of it. It makes the wolf in question unable to control their body. Their pupils grow huge because it causes their sight to become very faded and dark so their pupils grow huge to let as much light as possible in"

"Is he going to be ok?"

"Yes, he'll be fine. My parents have got the antidote but they might let it wear off in time, which might take maybe an hour judging by how long Ruby had him like that"

"How did she get it in him?"

"I don't know, which is why," we heard the doorbell ring "I ordered Ruby to come back to the pack house to answer some questions from my parents"

This is the pack house?"

"Yeah," she laughed "you didn't think this was our house did you?"

"Well, kind of" I muttered sheepishly.

"No my mum and dad live in another house but my brother, the rest of the pack, except for the mated couples, and I all live here"
"So that's why I didn't really see anyone around"

"Yeah, most of the people who live here are under the age of 30 so a lot of them are at school and at work"

"How many pack members are there?

"Maybe around 400"

"Whoa! That's how many people I'm going to "lead" when I become Luna?"

"Yes, that would be correct"

"That's insane!"

"You'll get used to it in time"

"But what if I'm a useless leader?"

"You won't be. You have "leader" written all over you," I looked down at my arms and she chuckled "not literally of course"

"Of course"

We talked for another hour before Ashes mum told us to come downstairs. We walked down still chatting but stopped when we saw her parents.
