(6) A sexy seven year old?

I walked into the classroom with Nick by my side, just to be met with a whole array of different colored eyes. Nick went to a seat with an open spot next to it, while I walked up to the teacher and told him my name and that I was new. I hoped he didn't do those introduction things, but of course he did.

"Everyone this is Kaitlyn O'Neal please make her feel welcome. Does anyone have any questions for Kaitlyn?"

One boy asked "Are you single?" I'm pretty sure Nick growled at him.

"No I am NOT single"

I could practically sense Nick grinning like a maniac

"Do you have any siblings?"

"Yes, I have a sister"

"Is she hot?"

Boy is he going to be embarrassed he asked that because I responded with...

"She's seven"

Everyone in the class roared with laughter when I said this. I think I could see the teacher hiding a grin from the corner of my eye. I walked over to where Nick was and sat beside him. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy to be sitting next to the Alpha's son. What made them look like I was completely insane was Nick holding my hand. And smiling at me.

When the class had settled down the teacher started going into what we were doing today.

(12:30: Lunch)

Ok, so far I've been sent curious glances, puzzled expressions and freaking daggers (Obviously from Nick's fangirls). All before lunch! I feel a little bit popular... sort of. In my art class I met a girl called Ashlyn (but she prefers Ash) who coincidentally is Nick's sister. She's the type of person that's super friendly and popular but also super sassy.

I feel like she's going to be my other best friend speaking of which I should give Kyle a ring. I'll do that after I've eaten something.

With Nick by my side and Ash going to meet us at the cafeteria. I stood outside preparing myself for pretty much the entire school about to stare at me. Oh and maybe Nick as well.

"You don't have to go in Kate"

"Well I'm going to have to at some point won't I?"

"Well, yeah but-"

"So why not do it now"

"I guess..."

I opened the door and found no-one staring. I have a feeling Nick had something to do with this. I went towards the line where you get your lunch and ordered an alfredo pasta, and a bottle of water. Just as I was about to pay for it Ash stepped in and payed for it.

"Ash I can pay for my own food, you know"

"Yea I know but it's your first day. Plus my brother's mate is not buying her own food on her first day"

"Well thanks Ash. I appreciate it"

"No problem"Ash and I went outside to eat when some dude with straight black hair in a short ponytail with chocolate brown eyes came up to us and kissed Ashes cheek. He had high cheek bones and a defined jaw. He had muscle, but not as much as Nick. From the power radiating from him he was probably Beta.

"Ash I'm guessing this is your mate"

"Yup, this is Beau, he's the soon-to-be-Beta"

"Hey you must Kaitlyn"

"Yea I'm Nicks mate"

"That explains it"

"Explains what?"

"Why he's getting all lovey dovey with you, by the way he's never been with a girl before. Just in case someone tells you different"

"Yeah someone did that before I was here 10 minutes"

I had almost finished my pasta, but they both looked at me like "OMG TELL US!"

"Someone called Ruby Powers"

"Kate you need to tell Nick"

"Ash it's not a big deal"

"Well... ok"

"Look I need to call someone, but come tell me when Nick gets here"

"We will"

"Thanks"

I walked away and started dialing Ky's number.

"Kat hey, how are you?!"

"I'm good Ky what are you doing?"

"Eating lunch with Daren, what are you doing?"

"I was eating lunch with my new friends, Nick, Ash and Beau"

"Are they all guys, are they hot?"

"No Nick and Beau are guys and Ash is a girl, and you have a boyfriend"

"Oh yeah. Oops"

"Geez Ky, there's this this called loyalty. I think you should use it"

"Yeah yeah, how's your first day of school going?"

"It's good, but they made me do math so early in the morning"

"Shaaaaaaame!"

"Ugh why did I think you'd be sympathetic"

"Because I'm a very sympathetic person"

"It was a rhetorical question mate"

"Oh well I still answered it"

"Yeah yeah, I need to go lunch is ending soon and I want to talk to my new buddies"

"Ok Kat I love you"

"I love you too Ky I'll call you later"

"Yup, ok bye!"

"Bye"

I turned around, about to go back to Ash and Beau, but found Nick standing behind me with his jaw clenched and arms folded instead.

"Who. Was. That?"

"Kyle"

"You said you loved him. Is he your boyfriend"

"Yes I said I loved him, but he is not my boyfriend, you are"

"Good, who exactly is he?"

"My best friend from Cali"

"I don't trust another man with you"

When he said that I burst out laughing because he sounded so, so, so jealous.

"Why are you laughing? It's not funny"

"Yes it is, you think a taken guy is going to take me?"

"Yes"

"Nicky, Kyle's gay"

"Well I still don't - wait, WHAT!"

"You were jealous of a gay boy"

"Oh..." He blushed a faint scarlet color on the apples of his cheeks. "We need to get to class"

With that we went back to class. After saying goodbye to Ash and Beau of course.
