Hair Dye & Emotion

Chapter 31

*Lucy POV*

It was the day the tour began. Yesterday me and Ashton went to the hospital fro my second scan. I was so happy when I found out the gender... WE WERE HAVING A GIRL!! Everything was going "swimmingly in my pregnancy" as the nurse had but it. We had been discussing names ever since with the boys and Alicia. Ashleigh Marie Irwin seemed to be a favourite. We decided to give her the middle name Marie after Ashton's mum. I thought it would be a nice gesture. I was sat on the tour bus, scrolling through my social media whilst the boys put all the luggage away. No one was letting me lift a finger because apparently being pregnant means your fragile. It was beginning to piss me off that I wasn't aloud to do anything for myself but I was biting my tongue because I knew everyone was only trying to do what it best for me. I flipped onto twitter and hit "Compost Tweet" deciding to tell the fans that me and Ash were having a girl.

The replies were automatic and as I always did, I ignored the negative comments.

"Lucy! I have an idea! Lets dye the ends of your hair purple! You always wanted to do it!" Alicia squealed, popping herself down next to me on the sofas in the back of the bus. I looked up at herm suddenly excited. I had always wanted to dye the ends of my hair purple but never got round to doing it.

"Do we have time to buy hairdye before the bus takes off?" I asked her and she started to laugh, walking away returning moments later with a box of hairdye.

"You know I always have hairdye" She giggled. It was true. I knew for a fact that in her bathroom she had at least 5 boxes of hair dye, from blue to green. I stood and hurried into the bathroom on the bus. It wasn't necessarily large but there was enough room for me and Alicia to fit in. She pulled on the gloves and began to coat the ends of my hair in the dye. I was wearing an old sweatshirt that was baggy so I didn't mind getting dye on it. Dying my hair was as crazy as I could get in my current state. Alicia applied the last drops and set a timer for when I would need to wash it out. I heard the boys clamber onto the bus, laughing so we locked the bathroom door. I would surprise them with my new coloured ends.

"Alicia! Are you holding my girlfriend hostage against her will?" Ashton shouted through the door.

"Or Lucy! Have you kidnapped MY girlfriend?" Michael asked.

"Fuck off boys! We would never capture eachother. We're having girl time! You know... Periods and shit..." Alicia replied, cringing at her choice of words. She hated talking girly and Ashton knew this so he probably saw right through her lies. We heard them retreat towards the back of the bus which was were the game consoles were etc so we knew we were safe.

"Those boys..." I said, giggling. We sat in the bathroom waiting for the timer went off. Just before it did, the bus started moving so I knew we were on our way to our first desitination of the American part of the tour. The timer went off and we quickly shut it off so the boys wouldn't hear. Alicia grabbed the shower head and washed all the dye out of my hair before drying it.  I looked in the mirror and gasped. The purple looked really great. I grasped Alicia by her wrist and unlocked the door.

"Ow, I'd like to keep my wrist thankyou, I need it" She said and I started to laugh.

"Why? So you can make Michael say "Shit-babyy" oh yes, I heard" I laughed, I looked over my shoulder to see her blushing profusely. I just shook my head and took her with me to the boys. The were all engrossed with the screen when we entered, they didn't even look up.

"Hey guys" Alicia said, sinking down next to Michael. Ashton greeted her and looked up at me, his eyes going wide.

"Baby... you're hair... looked awesome!" He said. I smiled and hugged him. The other guys had all turned to look at me now so I let Ash go and stood up so they could see.

"Wow, purple really does suit you" Luke said. I smiled and sat down next to Ashton. Ashleigh was being extremely wriggly today and I was kick to place Ashton's hand on my stomach so he could feel. He automatically grinned like her always did when he felt her moving. We remained like that for the majority of the afternoon.

*skip to LAST DAY OF USA TOUR*

"Baby! We need to get to the airport!"  I pulled Ashton out of his bunk. We had been travelling around the USA for 3 months now and it had been amazing. Today we were heading onto the UK for another months and then the remaining 2 months of the tour would be us touring in Spain, Italy, Germany, Switerzerland and then landing back in Australia for a couple of shows before the tour ended. Michael had been acting strange lately around Alicia and she had began to worry. He had been going out and locking himself in the back room with one of the boys, emerging hours later. Alicia was beginning to fear the worst and was retreating back into her shell. I took the first chance I had to grip Michael when he was alone that morning so I could see what was going on.

"Michael! What the fuck! You promised me you wouldn't hurt her! You've hardly been speaking to her and she really worried your going to break up with her!" I raged, trying to keep my voice down so no one overhead me.

"I haven't meant to! I've had things on my mind!" He screamed back. My anger was rising. I didn't like the attitude he was using with me so I brought my hand across his face. He flinched back from the sting of my slap. 

"I know your stressed because of the tour, but you made Alicia come promising her that everything would be okay, and it clearly isn't. I can't believe you wou-"

"JUST SHUT UP! i'M NOT DOING IT ON PURPOSE! IM PLANNING TO PROPOSE TO HER!" He whisper shouted to me. I was stunned to silence. He pulled a box out of his pocket and opened it to reveal a beautiful diamond ring, the gem as big as my little finger nail.

"Oh my god Michael... Why didn't you tell me?!" I asked him.

"All the boys knew but I didn't want to tell you because I know you wouldn't be able to keep it a secret." He laughed but I didn't join him. I was still shocked. This was a big step. I know they had been dating for nearly 6 months but was Alicia ready to commit like this? Marriage is a big step.

I KNOW I'VE SKIPPED TO THE BEGINNING OF THE UK TOUR BUT I HAVE THINGS PLANNED AND IF I UPDATED EVERY LITTLE DETAIL OF THE TOUR, YOU GUYS WOULD GET BORED AND THIS STORY WOULD DRAG ON. ALSO SHAMELESS SELF PROMO BUT I'M WRITING ANOTHER FANFICTION AFTER THIS ONE IS OVER. ITS A LUKE FANFICTION AND IT IS ALREADY IN THE WORKS ALTHOUGH  I HAVENT PUBLISHED ANYTHING YET.
