Virgil began to look more and more exhausted every time I checked up on him. It became obvious he wasn't feeding anymore. When I saw him in his dreams, he looked even sadder to say goodbye, making it harder to leave. I can't say I have been doing great though. The longer we stayed apart, the more our bound pulled us together. We both felt the need to see each other as if it was vital. It's been 2 months. Everything would be ready in time, I just had to hang tight for 3 more days.

3 days before the wedding.

I was at the hospital with my mom. She was always happy to see me and Remus but I could tell it shocked her to see how much we've changed. We were catching up on all the things she missed out on.
"And are you dating someone?" I smiled and nodded.
"I am. His name is Virgil, we've been together for over a year now." Her face wrinkled as she smiled.
"I'm happy for you Hijo. You know, I had a dream about a young man also named Virgil. Well, young, more like old I guess." I gave her a "what do you mean" look. She sighed.
"This man was a vampire. He had these sharp fangs and red eyes yet you approached him, completely unafraid and hugged him. The same thing happened with your brother. Exact same dream but with someone named... Janus I think." My heart dropped.
"mama, could you describe the first man?" She thought for a while.
"Kinda tall, purple dyed hair and very pale skin. He also wore this oversized hoodie that looked like it was patched up with a flannel." This had to be a nightmare. I took a deep breath and braced myself.
"Mama, I need to tell you something."

Virgil

2 days before the wedding.

I was sitting with Eleanor at a restaurant. She wore expensive looking jewelry that fit her white and short dress. Her dark hair was worn in a chignon and was tied up with a light pink ribbon. She reached up to touch my hand but her fingers met the engagement ring I had from Roman instead. She glanced at it in disgust.
"You won't need that any more, why don't you take it off?" I looked back at her with the same look.
"Because I accepted his proposal." She rolled her eyes.
"It doesn't matter if you accepted it or not, you're forced to marry me, not him." I sighed.
"Say, what are you expecting from me once you and I get married?" I asked. She smirked.
"Why, us to have children and live together happily of course." She explained. I smiled back at her.
"You know what's funny? You thinking that I'll actually be desperate enough to willingly marry and have children with you." Eleanor went red in the face then scoffed.
"You know what's actually funny? The thought of you being staked by your own mother after you refused to marry me." I grabbed her by her shawl and pulled her to my level.
"I would rather be staked and die loving the man I'm engaged to rather than have you as my wife." I shoved her away and walked out.

I had no trouble falling asleep that night. Like always, I couldn't wait to see Roman again. Will I ever admit it? No... Or maybe... When I opened my eyes again, my head was rested on someone's thighs.
"Hi Mi amor." I smiled and finally relaxed for the first time today as Roman ran his fingers through my hair.
"Hi Ro."
"Looking forward to seeing each other again soon?" He said with his dreamer voice that always made me smile.
"I can't wait..." I paused for a while, opened my eyes and looked at him.
"Do you... Promise to come and get me?"
"Of course! Virge, I've been working for 2 months to safely get you away so we can continue our life together. I'm not going to put this work to waste." none of us said anything for a while. We just enjoyed these small moments we had together. By the day after tomorrow, we would be reunited again.
