Roman
1 day before the wedding
Mom was released from the hospital earlier than expected. Me and Remus were helping her move back in our old house. She was in a wheelchair now and Janus was the one who provided for a new comfortable one, clothes, furniture and many other things. Mom now knew about Remus Janus and Virgil being vampires and slowly started to warm up to it while still being a little skeptical. She was noticeably holding back her questions for when Virgil would be back. I couldn't help but be nervous about her meeting with my boyfriend after her reaction to seeing Janus for the first time. Let's say she managed to make even REMUS blush because of her compliments and comments in Spanish.
I was outside in the backyard when I heard the sound of footsteps on grass behind me.
"Hey Kiddo, so tomorrow's the big day huh?" it was Patton and Logan, under an umbrella to protect them from the sun.
"Do you remember the plan?" I nodded.
"After we get Virgil back, I need to convince him to turn me."Virgil
Wedding day
I was in the dressing room, late, everyone was waiting for me to go up there. Alicia hadn't budged from her seat according to Quinn. She kept claiming I had to come out eventually or else I would simply starve to death. My hands gripped the sink so tightly it cracked. Normally it would have completely broken off but now, I was hungry and exhausted. Roman still wasn't here but my doubts and questions were.
What if it was all just a dream?
What if he was never going to come in the first place?
What if he's already moved on?
What if... No. I felt a tug of guilt in my heart at those thoughts. I trusted Roman so I'll stay here until he comes. I splashed water on my face, calming myself down and that's when I heard it.
"I'm on my way mi amor hang tight." He then finished that by sending me a thought of him holding me in his arms and running his hand through my hair whispering sweet nothings in my ear. I smiled a bit before my knees buckled almost making me fall over if it weren't for the sink. Hurry...Roman
"So I mixed up the time of the wedding, is it that big a deal?!" Janus asked, not looking up from the road.
"YES!" We all screamed at once. I silently cursed to myself looking from my watch to the road back and forth.
"We're gonna be here 2 minutes late guys, it's gonna be okay! We still have time." I said, mainly to calm myself down. Finally we arrived behind the building. Quinn ran up to us and grabbed me by the arm.
"Come on pretty boy, your boyfriend's waiting." I followed them to a window.
"Alright come in from here." They helped me get up and into a corridor following me soon after.
"He's in there." She said nodding towards a door. I silently opened it. The room was empty at first until I heard noises from a bathroom. I walked in silently and closed the door behind me. There, bent over a sink, breathing heavily was Virgil.
"Sorry for making you wait." He stiffened up and whirled around. He gave a small smile before almost tackling me in a tight hug.
"You're forgiven." We stayed like that for a moment, taking in each other's presence.
"You guys are adorable." Right behind us was Patton, who just spoke, followed by Logan and Quinn.
"Indeed but we should fill you in on our plan Virgil." Logan suggested. He nodded and tried to get away from Roman's embrace but almost fell.
"... Or we could give you guys some minutes alone so you can feed." Virgil shook his head.
"No, Alicia knows I'm hungry and weak. If she sees me looking all fine and healthy, she'll know you're here."
"... Okay but we'll have to hurry then. Okay here's the plan..."3rd person
Remus and Janus were now wearing the suits of the bodyguards they just knocked out and disposed off. Janus stayed on the phone with Logan Patton and Roman in the car.
"This is way too fucking cliché for me to remain serious." He said, not tearing away his gaze from Alicia. Quinn was a few rows behind the latter, a stake in hand in case things went wrong. Virgil simply couldn't walk away or he would have been seen so the plan was for him to get through the "I do"'s part, saying no and then he would run off and into the car who was waiting right outside for the runaway groom. Everything was ready.
