I have no excuse. So I had to choose between some angst and a happy ending or a Fluffy chapter and a happy ending... Take a wild guess which one I chose lmao

Virgil

Eleanor was getting impatient, yelling at Alicia.
"Give me one good reason to not go in there and force him out!"
"Because I'm right here." I said, walking down the aisle. In my ear, hidden by my hair, was an earpiece. Eleanor eased up and nodded when she saw me. I was finally up on the altar and waited as the priest started talking.

"Do you, Eleanor Olson, take Virgil Knight, as your lawfully wed husband for the rest of your life, and stay by his side through the good and the bad?"
"I do."
"Do you, Virgil Knight, take Eleanor Olson, as your lawfully wed wife for the rest of your life, and stay by her side through the good and the bad?" As I was about to answer, I heard a noise outside followed by Janus' voice.
"RUN OUTSIDE!"
"No." It all happened in a flash. I jumped away from the altar and ran without thinking. In the corner of my vision I saw Quinn pounce forward, tackling Alicia to the ground before she could have reached me. The doors flew open, revealing Janus holding it. The other team of bodyguards have been looking all over for their partners and found Roman Logan and Patton instead. Patton was being restrained, face first into the ground, screaming at the burning of the sun on his skin. Logan watched as he was being held up in the air, strangled. Roman was nowhere to be found and I could just imagine the worse.
"Duck." I heard him say in my head. Just in time, I dropped to the ground, covering my head as a bullet pierced through the air and went straight into the head of the person holding Patton restrained. As soon as he was freed, Patton crawled back to the shade. That distracted Logan's opponent which gave the vampire an opportunity to strike. In one kick, the man's ribs were shattered and the air knocked out from his lungs. I looked up and saw Roman on one of the pillars.
"Not so bad huh emo?! And my last bullet on top of that, I think I deserve a little bit of praise from you cariño."
He shot out from his hiding spot. I smirked and walked slowly towards the car. That's when I heard it. Huffs and pants getting closer finally followed by a grunt and something being thrown, whipping the air. Gasps were the last thing I heard before I froze. The smell of blood. Roman's.

He was on the ground, shaking and coughing up blood. Sticking out from his chest was a dagger. Among the noise of Roman's coughs, grunts, and the whispers from others, a laugh drowned it all away. It was cold, chilling even, the laugh of someone who's lost it. I didn't look at her. I didn't care about Alicia. I cared only about Roman. I rushed towards him, putting his head on my lap.
"Roman! Hang tight you're going to be okay." I grabbed a shard of glass from the previous fight and cut my wrist with it. Blood poured from the huge gash and I brought it to Roman's lips.
"H-here, drink it, hurry!" He struggled but did as I asked shutting his eyes as he drank my blood. I didn't care about the consequences or what he would think afterwards, all I cared about was keeping him alive. Words caught in my throat, only a choked sob coming out as tears flooded my vision. I saw blurs of Roman slowly reopening his eyes, his breathing growing slower by the second. He held my hand and smiled.
"Everything's going to be okay Vi, don't worry. I'm going to be just fine." I wanted to believe him, but the sound of his heartbeat and breathing slowing was clearly stating otherwise. I rested my forehead on his, closing my eyes.
"I love you. I love you so much Roman." I heard his heart give one last mediocre beat before stopping. He died. He died in my arms. He died because of her. They ALL died because of her. I placed Roman down on the grass, picked up the stake I was given earlier and stepped towards her. She looked demented, with her sick grin, ripped dress, black eyes, bloody face and her bruises all over. I raised my hand and slapped her. I grabbed her by the neck and pulled her closer.
"How many more??! How many people will I have to watch you KILL BEFORE YOU'RE SATISFIED?! COME ON SPEAK!! WHAT DID I DO FOR YOU TO WANT TO RUIN MY LIFE SO BADLY?!" Her eyes unfocused and she stopped smiling.
"Virgil, dear, that isn't a way to speak to your mother." She spoke slowly and tiredly, completely out of it. I gritted my teeth and threw her against the wall.
"YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER!" I raised the stake and as I was about to plunge it into her chest, I saw it. That fear in her eyes... She looked like me, the night I was turned. God, just stake her already! I thought as my hand shook. Finally, I cried out and threw the stake away.
"Leave and never let me see you again!" She looked at me, confused and scared. She winced as she got to her feet and ran away. I walked back and kneeled next to Roman.
"It might not be over yet, let's go!" I picked him up and walked to the car. Everyone was following me, not saying a word, silently hoping I was right.
