Chapter 14

Quackity was still curled up on his side as he heard Karl and Sapnap kiss. 'Just wonderful...' He thought to himself. When hears the door shut he props himself up on the bed and looks towards his roommate; he was grinning like a dufus touching his lips. 

"So you guys dating now or what?" 

Sapnap jumps in place at the sudden voice and turns around to Quackity. "Oh, hey! You're awake... When did you wake up?" He asks sheepishly. 

"I never went to sleep, dumbass," Quackity snaps while crossing his arms, making Sapnap feel a tinge of anger at the comment. 

"Okay, I understand that you're going through a breakup, but don't take your attitude out on me," the demon said calmly. 

"Oh, that's a good point, why the fuck do you even care huh?" Quackity felt his chest tighten watching as his roommate gave a confused look. 

"What the hell happened while we were gone? Why are suddenly acting like this?" Sapnap not feeling angry but more concerned now. He takes a few careful steps towards Quackity but was quickly stopped. 

"No! Don't get any closer," he yelled holding his arms up shielding himself. 'That's right, Schlatt said that he would just use me,' he thinks back to the bedroom from earlier that day and tears started to fill his eyes. 

"You're just trying to fuck me... You and Karl are just going to use me and then get rid of me!" He chokes out letting the tears flow down his face. 

"Quackity..." Sapnap gently says while taking a few steps closer. Quackity doesn't move his arms and his roommate stops in front of him. Then without warning, Sapnap holds him in a tight embrace. 

Quackity drops his arms to his sides, unsure of what he should do. Sapnap had his face buried in Quackity's chest, and to his surprise, the demon's shoulders began to shake. 'Wait...' Quackity freezes when he hears a sniffle. "Are you crying?"

Sapnap nods into his chest. "I'm sorry that you think that I would ever hurt or abandon you..." 

Quackity's heart skips a beat. "H-How can you know for sure?"

The demon looks up to make eye contact with the older male, his eyes filled with tears. "I-I want to protect you because I care about you!" 

A blush covers Quackity's cheeks. "Y-You do?"

Sapnap nods, "Yeah, I really do."

Quackity lets out a shaky breath. "O-Okay, just sit on the bed would you?" He asked while lifting Sapnap's arms; he does what is asked of him and sits next to Quackity. "So you care about me, but don't forget that you're like, dating Karl-"

"I know Karl cares about you too..." Sapnap blurts out. 

"Why?!" Quackity questions loudly. 

"Is it that unbelievable that there are people out there that just care for you and lo-," Sapnap's face pales as he clears his throat. "A-And like you," he says, then he makes Quackity look at him. "Is it that crazy that Karl and I want to be there for you?"

Quackity bites his lip as he tries to find any sign of a lie on his face, but there was none. 'No... It's too soon,' he thinks to himself avoiding looking at Sapnap's lips. "Okay fine," he says while closing his eyes. "I'll allow you and Karl to care about me," he bashfully says. 

Sapnap let's out a loud giggle surprising Quackity. "I would've kept caring for you even if you said no," he says cheerfully wrapping his arms around Quackity, then catching him off guard once again, Sapnap pulls him back on the bed.
