As I'm running through the woods I hear people behind me. They're chasing me because they think I stole food from the food stand in the street. "I see the thief!'' A bullet misses my head by a couple inches. "Get her!" More bullets hit trees around me. As I came into the clearing, I saw a river and ran to it as fast as I could. I knew there where alligators in it, but I had to get away. As my feet hit the water all the alligators headed the opposite direction. When I was in the middle of the river, the men came in and they came back. When I heard the first scream, I turned to see one of the men's arm in an alligators mouth.

I bolted back. "Leave him alone!" And the alligators turned and left.

The man looked at me, then at his arm. "How did you do that?" He collapsed and I caught him.

"I'm not like you." I held him up and touched his arm. And in seconds it was healed. He looked at me in shock.

"How did you do that?" he asked while looking at his arm.

"Like I said, I'm not like you." I turned and ran from the river. After I got a ways from the river I couldn't hear the men any more. So I slowed down. I looked back and stopped when I saw no one behind me. I sat on a stump and caught my breath.

"Young lady, what are you doing out here on your own?" A lady's voice came behind me.

I jumped up and turned to see a black lady in white clothing. I...I..." I stopped when I realized who she was. "Your Storm, right?''

"Yes, but you still haven't answered my question." she started to walk over to me when seven other people came behind her. One was an animal with blue fur, with glasses and was wearing yellow pants on the left. A to man to its right was in a blue and yellow suit, blue gloves and boots. A cigar in his mouth. Then a lady with red hair in a green skintight suit. With it's sleeves and legs yellow and a yellow bird from her waist to her neck. Next was Ororo, then a man in a black suit that covered everywhere except his mouth and nose. And a weird thing in front of his eyes. And the other three where behind them. One was a teenage boy named Peter, who's skin was metal and wore a red outfit over his skin. On his arm as a girl that looked younger them him. Her brown hair covered her face as the wind blew. And far to there left was a girl who looked younger then the girl with brown hair. She had black hair and looked like she was about to kill everyone.

"I was being chased." I answered and Ororo put her arm around me and led me towards the other people.

"Why?"

"They thought I stole."

"Did you?" The man with the cigar asked. His voice was bitter.

"No." I crossed my arms and he rolled his eyes like he didn't believe me. Who the hell said he could judge me?

The lady with red hair took my hand and pulled me over to him. When I stood in front of her she took my face in her hands. "It's OK, sweetheart. He's just mad he couldn't watch his hockey game." She started to run her finger through my hair and looking at every angle of my face.

"What the hell are you doing?'' I tried to pull away, but she wouldn't let go.

"Hold still. I'm trying to figure out your powers without reading your mind." She turned me around and started to play with my hair more. My eyes started to get heavy. I always get sleepy when someone plays with my hair.

"She's been trying that for the last two weeks." The man in the black said.

"Has she gotten any right?" He shook his head.

"You can do something with dirt." She pulled her had out of my hair, along with some hair.

"Yes, but what can I do with earth?" I made sure my voice was full of sarcasm.
