Logan's POV
After we got Sabertooth locked up, Joey and I went to the kids' room. When I opened the door, I saw James and Lexis sleeping together. Joey wrapped her arms around me waist from behind and put her chin on my shoulder. "Glad to see they made up." She whispered.
"Yeah." I walked over to them and picked them up. "Come on." Joey followed me into our room and we layed on the bed. The kids where between us, James next to me and Lexis by Joey. I stroke his hair and think about what all has happened today. "We almost lost them." I said still looking at James. I waited for her to reply, but she never did. I looked at her and saw her sleeping with Lexis clinging to her shirt. I smile and bring James closer to me. He dug his face into my chest.
"I love you, Daddy." He mumbled.
"I love you, too, Jamie." I held him tight. I lay there watching them sleep for a couple hours. Joey woke up and stretched. "Afternoon, beautiful." She smiled and Lexis looked at me.
"What about me?" She asked. "Am I beautiful?"
"Of coarse you, babygirl." I said. I felt James pull away some.
"Daddy?" He asked.
"Yes?"
"I'm hungry." He said.
"Alright, want to help me make supper?" He nodded.
"You make a mess and your both will be sleeping outside." Joey said.
"Has there been a mess since Lexis and I cooked?" She thought for a second.
"Yes, about five other times." She said and hugged Lexis. "If I find a mess in there, your both going to clean it by yourselfs." I nodded and James and I went to the kitchen.
"What would you like?" I asked James.
"Mmmm. Pancakes, sasage, and eggs." He gave me an inocent smile.
"That's for breakfast." I poked his stomach and he gigled.
"Please, Daddy." He grabbed my leg. I sighed and set him on the counter.
"Fine." I got everything and started to make them. After making the pancake mix, James stuck his finger in it then put it in his mouth. "Hey." He grinned. "Your surpose to eat that after it's cooked." He shook his head.
"It's better this way." I grabbed a spoon and tried some. No bad.
"It's ok." I said and gave him a spoonfull. He took it eagerly. "Now let's save the rest for the others, huh?" He nodded. It took us about twenty minutes to get everything done. As I set the things on the table, Joey and Lexis came in. "Perfect timing." I kissed Joey and helped Lexis and James get in their highchairs. We ate then went to the living room. James and Lexis played while Joey and I relaxed on the coach. James started to pile toys on my lap.
"Daddy, play with me." He said and I sat on the floor. We played with his trains, trucks and racing cars. After a couple hours, Joey and I put them to bed. She layed in our bed. I kissed her forehead.
"I'm going to the gym." I said and she grabbed me before I could go.
"But what if something happens?" She pulled me into the bed.
"Honey, I know you can deal with it." I tried to get up but she wouldn't let me.
"I don't know about that." She wrapped her legs around my waist. "How long has it been since we spent time together?" She whispered in my ear.
"A long time." I kissed her neck and she pulled me closer. She pulled my shirt off and undid my pants. "I can tell you eagger to get started." I said and she scratched my back.
"I've been waiting for this chance for a long time." She nibled on my ear and I was about to pull her shirt off when Lexis came running in. I quickly jumped off and ended up face planting it on the floor.
"Mommy, Daddy, somethings wrong with James." She said and we rushed into their bedroom. James was hovering over the floor with his eyes glowing.
"Joey, you know what's going on?" She shook her head. "Lexis, go get grandpa." She ran out and Joey and I knelt by James. She stroke his hair and the weather went from sunny to stormy. "Is Storm in a bad mood?" I looked at Joey and saw her holding James in her lap. I wrapped my arms around them then James started shaking.
"Logan!" Joey cried as we tried to hold him down. Lexis and Charles came in.
"Jamie!" Lexis ran over, Joey grabbed her and held her back. Then suddenly James started screaming.
"Hold him still." Charles said and James suddenly stopped. After a couple minutes, James pasted out and Charles leaned back in his wheelchair.
"Dad, will he be ok?" Joey asked. I looked at Charles and waited for his answer, but it never came. "Daddy?" Joey holds on tight to Lexis. "Daddy, will he be ok?" She asks more slowly.
"I don't know. He might act like nothing has happened, like you did. Or he might be a completely different person." He said and I looked at James. He was stirring some, so I pick him up and held him close. "Just in case he's not like he usually is, I think he should be in the subzero room." Joey gasped.
"Daddy, no, he can't go in there."
"It might be the best for him, Joey." He said and I held James closer to me. I stood up and went to the elevator. Joey and Lexis came in after me.
"Mommy, where are we going?" Lexis asked, but Joey didn't answer. "Mommy?"
"We're going to the basement." I said and she nodded. I saw the tears rolling down her cheek, so I wrap my arm around her and hold her close too.
"Mommy, will he be ok?" Lexis asked as she whipped away Joey's tears.
"Yes." She said and moved closer to me. No one talked on the way down, but when the elevator stopped on the last floor Joey let out a small sob. I held her close and Lexis hugged her. As we entered the room, James started to wake up and Joey cried some more. After laying him on the bed, I wrapped an arm around Joey. When he opened his eyes, we moved closer and he stared at us. "Jamie?" Joey whispered.
"Mommy, where are we?" I picked him up so quick, he looked scared then grabbed the back of his neck. "Ouch, Daddy, that hurt." I held him close.
"I'm sorry." I whispered as Joey and Lexis hugged us, crying.
"Did someone die?" James asked trying to pull away from me. I laughed and sat down on the bed with him, Joey, and Lexis.
"No, no one died." I said. Then suddenly he started to hit me. "James!" He jumped off me and ran out the room. We run after him, when I'm close enough, it grab him. "James." He struggled for a little bit, then grabbed hold of my shirt.
"Daddy, make it stop!" I rushed to the elevator and found the Professor in it.
"Professor, somethings wrong." I said as James twisted in my arms then stopped moving. I looked down and saw him asleep. We walked in and the Professor hit a button in the elevator. After about ten minutes, we where in the hospital wing. I held Joey and Lexis close as the Professor works with James. After a couple minutes the looked at us.
"Well?" Joey asked.
"Um, it's complicated to explain." He said.
"Just tell us!" Joey almost yelled at him.
"It seems that his personality is fighting with a completely different one. I'm trying to block out the negitive one and keep it under control." He said and Joey wrapped her arms around my waist. "It'll take some time but he'll be fine." With that Joey, Lexis, and I went to our room and fell asleep.
