NATASHA ALIA SINGHANIAIt was a serene Friday morning. I lay peacefully in the guest room of Katie's mansion, with Ishika beside me. The tranquility was soon shattered by an abrupt shake.
A loud voice pierced the peaceful atmosphere, "NATASHA ALIA SINGHANIA, wake up, you sleepy ass."
In my groggy state, I responded, "What the hell! I want to sleep; we landed late last night. Please."
The blanket was unceremoniously yanked off, and I found myself being dragged out of bed. A sudden splash of water on my face jolted me awake, revealing the familiar faces of Katie, Nicole, Nupur, Ishika, and Riya.
Riya commanded, "You have two minutes, go and shower."
Baffled, I questioned, "What? Why?"
Nicole explained, "We're going out."
I protested, "You guys carry on; I'll catch up on my sleep."
Nupur chimed in, "We're going to the supermarket."
I relented, "Fine, I'll be ready in 10 minutes."
As I entered the bathroom, my anticipation for a supermarket visit grew. I cherished the thrill of exploring and grabbing things. The prospect excited me, and I quickly got ready. We all piled into the car, and I took the wheel, as Katie was not in the mood to drive. Soon, we arrived at the supermarket, and I eagerly entered, armed with a small basket.
Wandering through the aisles, I seized the opportunity to pick up 2-3 large packs of Doritos, two substantial bars of Ghirardelli chocolate with milk and caramel, my absolute favorite. I also grabbed my usual Moroccan mint tea and green tea. As I browsed the items, my attention wavered, and I accidentally collided with a solid object.
In my absent-minded state, I hugged the obstruction, only to realize it was not an object but an incredibly attractive man. Dressed casually in jeans, a white t-shirt, and a jacket, he exuded an irresistible charm. Other young girls in the market were eyeing him, but his focus was solely on me.
With a teasing tone, he remarked, "Done checking me out, Natalia babe?"
Startled, I pulled away, irritated, "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Natalia?"
Smirking, he identified himself, "Well, well, first, I thought I was dreaming, but now, after bumping into you, I realize it's you. By the way, how come you're here in Toronto?"
Annoyed, I retorted, "Why do you want to know? It's my wish. I can go wherever I want. What's your problem?" His smirk only widened.
He observed my purchases, noting, "AHA! Huge packs of Doritos and two big bars of chocolates. You love eating these, right? Gautam mentioned it once. Green tea and mint tea, huh?" Chuckling, he seemed well-informed.
Huffing, I walked away in search of my friends and found them in the seafood section. I quickly informed them, "Guys, take this, pay, and meet me in the car. I'm going to the car because a weird guy who's bothering me is here. I saw him, but he didn't see me thankfully. I'm going." With that, I ran off, ignoring their calls, just wanting to avoid Rohan. I didn't want to develop feelings for him. He was a heartbreaker, and I feared I might start liking him. In the car, I plugged in my earphones and settled in.
ROHAN DEV RAICHAND
As usual, she disappeared without a trace. Regardless, I continued with my shopping, grabbing green tea, coffee packets, hot chocolate, Lay's packets, instant noodles, pasta, and pasta sauce. As I approached the billing counter, I noticed Natasha's friends and Riya. I exchanged a brief hug with Riya and greeted the other girls.
