1 Week Later

BENTOTA ISLAND, NEAR COLOMBO, SRI LANKA.

NATASHA ALIA SINGHANIA

One week later, I arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka, eager to see the newly constructed mansion our fathers had purchased. I had put my best designs into the project, and it was satisfying to witness the fruition of our collective vision. Outside the airport, my mom, dad, Gautam bhai, and Sid awaited my arrival. Seeing Sid carrying Vivaan, who adored his Gautam chachu & Sid chachu, filled me with joy. After exchanging hugs, we all got into the car.

During the journey, I caught up with my parents, brother, and Sid, relishing the family reunion. Upon reaching the mansion, Nikhil bhai and Sid efficiently handled my luggage. The grandeur of the mansion struck me—complete with numerous bedrooms, two well-equipped kitchens, a gym, a Puja room, an expansive library, and a games room boasting various indoor games. The mansion even had a separate laundry room with modern facilities.

Each bedroom was furnished with a TV, computer, and attached bathroom, stocked with all essential accessories and toiletries. The outdoors offered a sprawling lawn, a substantial swimming pool, a badminton court, and access to a private beach—owned by our dads—providing a perfect holiday setting.

The warmth of family and friends combined with the luxurious surroundings made me immensely happy. Riya later pulled me aside, urging understanding regarding Rohan's odd behavior.

"Alia, don't be upset with Rohan. I think he's not doing it on purpose. He seems under pressure, receiving strange phone calls since he arrived," Riya explained before being called away by Ayesha.

Contemplating Riya's words, I decided to investigate. I approached Gautam bhai and Nik bhai in the games room where they were with Abhinav and Abhishek.

"Gautam bhai, Nik bhai, tell me the truth. Is someone blackmailing Rohan? Something seems off; he's acting strange," I inquired, sensing a momentary change in their expressions.

Gautam bhai reassured me, "No, Alia, nothing is wrong. Trust us."

Nikhil bhai added, "Rohan is just stressed, working on multiple projects. Nothing more."

Attempting to put my doubts to rest, Abhishek said, "We'll inform you if something serious happens, even if Rohan doesn't."

Feeling dejected, I concluded, "That means he truly hates me, and it was just attraction, not love."

walked away, indifferent to whatever Abhishek and Abhinav were saying. Descending the stairs, I made my way to the living room, intending to head to the kitchen. However, I unexpectedly collided with a solid figure—Rohan.

In that moment, everything else faded away. A wide smile adorned my face, and I greeted him with a friendly "hi." He responded with a smile too.

All I desired at that moment was to embrace him, kiss him, cuddle, and share moments of intimacy. We stood face to face, incredibly close. Yet, Rohan abruptly walked away after a brief exchange, leaving me in tears.

Feeling a comforting touch on my shoulder, I turned to find Sid standing behind me. I clung to him tightly, releasing my emotions through tears.

Sid gently patted my back, offering solace, "It's okay, I'm here. Shh... hey! That's enough for now. You're a beautiful girl, and pretty girls don't look good while crying."

Frustrated, I exclaimed, "How can he be such a jerk, Sid? He didn't even break up with me properly. Why did I fall in love with such a ruthless, heartless person?"

Sid reassured, "It's okay. Just forget him. Ignore him. Come with me."

Walking away with Sid, I had intentionally invited him because his presence brought me comfort. In his company, I felt a sense of peace and relaxation.

ROHAN DEV RAICHAND

Returning from the kitchen, where I had grabbed some cold water, I collided with someone – it was Alia. For a fleeting moment, I felt like I was in heaven, and a foolish grin appeared on my face as I looked at her. She reciprocated with a wide smile, saying hi. In that moment, all I desired was to forget everything, hold Alia close, and share a moment of intimacy with her. Unfortunately, I could only nod and walk away, feeling she must be looking at me with eyes filled with resentment.

Concealing myself behind a pillar, I observed her crying helplessly. Witnessing her in such distress, I couldn't help but shed a few tears myself. I longed to assure her of my love and devotion, but the words of the blackmailer forced me to retreat. Leaving her felt akin to descending into hell rather than ascending into heaven.

Suddenly, Sid appeared, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. My jealousy flared - how dare he touch her? Natasha turned, hugged him tightly, and cried.

Sid consoled her, "It's ok, I'm here. Shh... hey! That's enough for now. You're a pretty girl, and pretty girls don't look good while crying."

Frustrated, Alia vented, "How can he be such a jerk, Sid? He didn't even break up with me properly. Why did I fall in love with such a ruthless, heartless person?"

Sid comforted, "It's okay. Just forget him. Ignore him. Come with me."

Alia walked away with Sid, leaving me burning with jealousy. I vowed to myself that once this drama concluded, Alia would be mine and only mine, forever. I envisioned a direct marriage, skipping the elaborate ceremonies.

Shaking off my thoughts, I walked away, only to be approached by Abhinav and Ishaan.

Abhinav said, "Dude, come to the secret room with us."

Curious, I followed them to the secret room.

Nikhil asked, "Where were you?"

"In the kitchen, getting some water," I replied.

Abhinav remarked, "You went for water, but you saw Natasha too, right? The pain in your eyes reveals everything."

Nirav interjected, "Guys, Me and Ishaan have some news."

Ishaan added, "We know who's number that girl is calling. It's Arnav Awasthy's number, Ayaan Awasthy's younger brother."

Nirav continued, "Ayaan was married to Sheila Desai Dobriyal, Sunit Dobriyal's daughter, and millionaire Shriya Desai Dobriyal's niece."

Ishaan shared, "Abeer Bakshi, Nirav's friend from the intelligence department, discovered that Arnav Awasthy is engaged to Urvashi Desai Dobriyal, Shriya's cousin."

Shocked, I exclaimed, "What? She's Sunit Dobriyal's daughter and Amar Dobriyal's niece? She lied to me! Now I think I know who the blackmailer is and why she's doing all this."

Abhishek questioned, "Don't tell me you never knew she's a Dobriyal. We all knew, and we assumed you did too."

"I had no idea. She never told me, and I never figured it out," I admitted.

Nirav cautioned, "We can't jump to conclusions yet; we need to find out more."

Kabir proposed a plan, suggesting we call Urvashi to Colombo under the guise of work, observe her, and use Abeer to trace the blackmailer's call when it happens. I agreed, wasting no time in calling Urvashi and instructing her to come to Colombo.

"The game begins," I thought to myself as we awaited Urvashi's arrival.
