ROHAN DEV RAICHAND
It had been 15 days since Natasha joined our office, and she proved to be exceptional. Her work was impeccable, always punctual, managing time efficiently, and even going the extra mile during crunch times. We often collaborated on construction sites, where she showcased her brilliant designs for buildings and interiors. As a civil engineer with an MBA in marketing, my focus was more on the technical and structural aspects.
Natasha's designs were not just amazing, but she approached her work with professionalism and precision. A complete nerd, she immersed herself in books, displaying an impressive knowledge base. Each day, she continued to both impress and amuse me. Currently, we were in Dubai, working on a crucial project, staying at the Mehras' mansion, both our close family friends.
After a successful meeting, we left the building. Natasha commended, "Well, sir, congratulations on securing that precious deal. You truly are a great businessman. Sometimes, being ruthless is necessary, but not always."
I thanked her, "Thanks a lot. Now that it's just the two of us, feel free to call me Rohan, Ronny, Dev, Mr. Dumbass Raichand, or whatever you prefer." Her phone interrupted us, and she continued talking until we reached the lobby.
She suggested, "Sir, I checked, and there's a Starbucks within walking distance. I could use a coffee. Would you mind joining me?"
I agreed, "Sure, why not. Let's go."
As we walked through the streets of Dubai, we engaged in conversation. Seeing Alia's face had become a daily necessity for me. It had a magical effect, dispelling stress, frustration, and anger. The gap between us was gradually closing, a positive change I could feel. Suddenly, I turned back and noticed a speeding car heading directly towards Natasha. Without a second thought, I pulled her into an embrace just in time. The car collided with a pole, and the crowd rushed to help the driver. Natasha and I locked eyes briefly before she realized what had happened.
I explained, "That car was headed straight for you at great speed. I noticed it in time and pulled you to safety." She was shaken but soon calmed down.
"Thanks a lot, sir, for saving my life," she expressed, gratitude evident in her eyes.
I replied, "I don't want your thanks and all."
Innocently, she asked, "Then what do you want, sir? I'll give you anything you ask for." I smirked.
Leaning closer, I teased, "Anything, Alia? Anything?"
She nervously blushed, and I moved even closer, asking, "I want you to stop addressing me as Sir when it's just the two of us. Call me Dev, Rohan, Ronny, or your favorite Mr. Dumbass Raichand. Understand?" I hinted at a consequence if she refused.
She agreed, "Okay, Ronny boy. But in front of other employees, I'll stick to 'sir' for you and your family members." The way she said 'Ronny boy' was undeniably sexy. I loved hearing my name from her. It was music to my ears.
"That's perfectly fine, and 'Ronny boy' sounds damn good," I winked, making her blush. Soon, we reached Starbucks and enjoyed our coffees.
