NATASHA ALIA SINGHANIA

The wedding functions are finally commencing tomorrow, and I couldn't be more excited. Today was spent meeting cousins, distant relatives, and friends. Aashi Dee, my cousin, brought up the Sangeet preparations.

"So, Alia, have you prepared for the Sangeet tomorrow? You'll be singing a song, you know," she inquired.

"I don't know. Ronny and I planned to sing a duet, but now I might just go solo," I replied.

Aashi Dee shared, "Rohan has already arrived. The Raichands will be joining us for lunch at our mansion."

I couldn't contain my joy and exclaimed, "Really? Yes! Finally, I'll get to see Rohan." Aashi Dee chuckled at my excitement.

Later, at our mansion, The Raichands, including Arnab uncle, Ragini aunty, Ajay uncle, Nandita aunty, Vivek uncle, Madhu aunty, and others, were warmly welcomed. The Raichands and Singhanias share a long-standing friendship, and today marked the beginning of us becoming a family. It was not just Soham and Aashi's union; it was a union of the Raichands and Singhanias.

Despite the festive atmosphere, Rohan was notably absent. I couldn't help but wonder why. Anxiousness crept in as I anticipated his arrival.

Our families engaged in conversations, sharing laughter and stories. While I was busy setting up the lunch table, my mind continued to drift to Rohan's absence. I decided to step into my room briefly to freshen up. As I descended the stairs, I finally spotted Rohan. A smile lit up my face, but it quickly faded as I noticed him engrossed in conversation with a girl who seemed too close for comfort. Dad called for my attention, and Rohan looked at me, his expression seemingly infatuated. My heart melted, yet doubts lingered. Was he cheating on me? Who was this girl?

Dad said, "Alu bacha, come fast. We were waiting for you."

Arnab uncle added, "Come, come." We all proceeded to have lunch. I sat beside Arnab uncle and Dad, Rohan beside my dad, and the mysterious girl beside Rohan.

During the meal, Rohan introduced her, saying, "By the way, Alia, I introduced her to everyone except you. She's Urvashi Desai, my friend from London. I mentioned her before, remember?"

I weakly nodded and greeted, "Uhm... yeah. Hey, Urvashi, I'm Natasha. Nice to meet you." It struck me that she was Rohan's ex-girlfriend. Unsettled, I kept my discomfort to myself throughout lunch, observing Rohan and Urvashi's interaction. The unease lingered, but I concealed it. After finishing my lunch, I excused myself.

"Dad, I'm going to catch up with some old friends in Udaipur. I'll be back after dinner, maybe late at night. Sid will be with me, so you need not worry," I informed Dad.

"Okay, bacha, enjoy," Dad responded. I walked away, Rohan trailing behind.

"Alia babe," he called out.

"Not now, Ronny boy, later," I replied.

"Why the rush?" he inquired.

I dashed to the garage, hopped into my car, and drove away. Heading towards the guest house where the Chaturvedi and Patel families were staying, I hoped the change of surroundings would ease my uneasiness. Once again, I found myself avoiding Rohan, uncertain about the tensions building within me.

ROHAN DEV RAICHAND

I arrived in Udaipur from London, accompanied by Urvashi at Soham bhai's invitation. Urvashi had transformed into a pleasant person, now a good friend. Excitement surged within me as I reunited with family and extended relatives. The prospect of becoming a family with Natasha filled me with joy.
