2 Months After Coming Back From MunichNATASHA ALIA SINGHANIA
I am feeling truly blessed, to be surrounded by a loving family, genuine friends, well-wishers, and a boyfriend, lover, and best friend like Rohan. Celebrating my 24th birthday two weeks ago was an unforgettable experience. Rohan and Arnab Uncle surprised me with the sweetest celebration, joined by my entire Singhania clan, all flown in from New York & Washington DC. Rohan orchestrated the entire surprise, recognizing my longing for family.
Currently, I'm preparing my specialty, Dal Bhati Churma, for lunch to express my gratitude to Rohan. He has done so much for me, and I believe the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I want to make him happy by cooking a delicious meal. The doorbell rings, and I open it to find Rohan. He greets me with a kiss.
He asked, "What's on the menu for dinner?"
I replied, "Well, I've prepared two dishes for you – Dal Baati Churma and dhokla."
Rohan said, "Wow, your Dal Baati Churma is always so delicious. Let's eat; I'm hungry."
We sat down, and I served him before grabbing my plate. During the meal, Rohan complimented, "It's amazing. You're a great cook, very good, in fact. The best dishes you make are these dhoklas and Dal Baati Churma. Simply amazing." I smiled.
Expressing my gratitude, I said, "Thanks for everything, Rohan. Thanks for organizing such a lovely birthday surprise. I love you." He smiled and kisses my forehead.
We spent quality time together, watching a few episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and later, we cuddled in bed.
Rohan, with a serious tone, said, "Natasha, please listen carefully. What I'm about to say might make you sad, but please listen." He took a deep breath.
I responded, "I'm listening, Ronny boy."
Rohan revealed, "Dad, Chachu, and Tauji have decided to send me to London to handle a crucial project. It's a significant one, and our company's success hinges on it. I'll have to stay there for the next four months. I won't be back before then. I have to be there. It's going to be tough, and I'll miss you terribly, Alia." I felt a pang of sadness.
I reassured him, "I'll miss you too, Ronny boy. But it's just four months, and then you'll be back in Toronto. We can be together all the time. Imagine making your family proud by excelling in your work. We'll have a long-distance relationship, and I want to be your strength, not your weakness. Focus on your project, make them proud, and we'll be in touch. Don't worry; I won't come to London. We'll get through this together." I cupped his face.
Rohan confesses, "I love you so damn much, Alia babe," and kissed me passionately. We shared an intimate moment but decided not to make love due to exhaustion.
A week later, Rohan left for London, and the painful goodbye left us both longing for each other. I will eagerly await the end of these four months.
4 MONTHS LATER
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
ROHAN DEV RAICHAND
London has always been good to me. I find solace in the company of Randheer, Adheer, Sanya, and never feel lonely. They've been like family, helping me adjust to life away from Toronto. Though I miss my family, Randheer's family fills the void.
Staying in touch with Natasha has been my lifeline. Our daily calls and video chats brighten my day, and I can't wait to return to Toronto to be with her. Tonight, I'm heading to dinner with my ex-girlfriend, now friend, Urvashi. Our meeting in London was unexpected, and we've rekindled a friendship. Friendship, that's all nothing more!
