''Well, try a spell then,'' Chantal said, encouraging Cedric to the strange idea.

Despite them having good intentions, the egg only made the same screening noise as it always did. Cedric tried splashing water on it, however, it did not make a difference.

''I don't understand... maybe you need to put it in water, not just splash stuff around,'' Chantal suggested. ''like, in a sink...''

''Or a bath...''

''The Prefects' Bathroom?''

''Yeah... and you could come too,'' Cedric smirked.

''Oh, I could watch you take a bath with an egg?'' Chantal teased back, already knowing where Cedric's comment was headed.

''I'd want you to join me in the bath...''

''Well... I can agree to that,''

They had spent their afternoon together, both walking throughout the castle and eating their meals together. Dina joked that it was the only time she saw Chantal anymore, although Cedric and Chantal had never hung out that much before due to them not having lessons together.

''And you two aren't much better together,'' Dina teased Victoria and Gerald.

''We're not as popular as they are though, are we?'' Gerald smirked, looking at Cedric and Chantal at the Hufflepuff table.

''Shh... Chantal is incredibly happy. She's been sleeping so well too...'' Victoria replied.

''Have you?'' Gerald asked Victoria.

''Eeeeeeh-''

''Hey!''

''Well, with all the Prefect duties, I sometimes don't get it and my sleep schedule has been wrecked with all the late hangouts during the holidays, but I sleep very well,'' she replied.

Chantal was indeed sitting at the Hufflepuff table with Cedric, however, no one really paid attention to them while they were eating dinner. After all, it was her second evening sitting at their table.

''By the way, I was wondering how everything's going between Dina and Ernest?'' Cedric suddenly asked.

''Oh,'' Chantal replied. ''they danced apparently, but as Ernest may have told you, they're more like friends.''

''Ahh, but Ernest really liked her,''

''I know, but Dina wasn't so sure about that...''

''No, that's totally okay. I'm glad they're still so close. It's cute,''

And it was indeed cute that nothing changed in Ernest after Dina's coming out to him. Even with Victoria telling them not to, Ernest and Dina snuck out at night to try roller skating on the fourth-floor corridor. In Dina's words - it had been a blast.

Yet another important conversation involved Dina. She had decided that if two of her closest friends knew about her secret, then the third one, that being Victoria, had the right to know as well. However, as Dina told Chantal, she had been most nervous to tell Victoria, as Victoria herself was very lawful. Dina was afraid, just like before, that it would change her friend's attitude.

''Imagine... Victoria's mom is also bisexual!'' Chantal remembered Dina telling her the previous evening.

''Also bisexual?''

''I don't really know... I suppose that it's somewhat that, but I'm not sure yet. Either way, I think it's so cool!''

And, in fact, Jaqueline Cannon, Victoria's mom, now inspired and meant a lot to Dina, especially since she always thought that she was an amazing witch and an exceptional mother.
