The news of Trelawney's leaving Hogwarts shocked a lot of people, considering how scared of Umbridge everyone was. No one had expected her to have such authority. It seemed that she would not stop and everyone could sense that. Hogwarts felt no longer the same as before.
The mood had shifted a lot already with Dumbledore's disappearances, Umbridge's strict rules, however, Sebastian's mind revolved around Cedric that morning.
There wasn't a specific day or event that had taken place a year ago. Sebastian simply thought about him and wondered what they could be doing.
Dina, noticing that, tried her best to cheer up Sebastian.
''So Karla and I kissed,'' Dina lied, catching Sebastian's attention.
The two were sitting in the Ravenclaw Common Room before breakfast.
''What?'' Sebastian asked excitedly.
''Sorry, sorry... no, that was my imagination...'' Dina replied, happy to see Sebastian's tone.
''Oh, fuck off. I- I don't want to deal with anyone today,'' Sebastian replied, turning away.
''Just wanted to lighten the mood,''
''There isn't a mood to lighten... I have no mood today,''
''Want to do something fun?''
Sebastian didn't turn towards Dina.
''I think I'd rather just be as I am today. Get through classes, sleep, and hope that tomorrow's better,'' he replied.
Indeed, classes felt just as bad to Sebastian, as his mind kept blanking out and failing him. He wondered whether the transformation spell was finally catching up. However, neither Victoria nor Nathaniel let him confirm that.
''Just have a calm evening somewhere. Take a nice bath or just relax,'' Victoria suggested but Sebastian didn't reply.
''Is there anything we can do?'' Nathaniel asked.
The two had met Nathaniel in the Viaduct Entrance after their Potions class and walked to lunch together.
''I don't- I tried all those little things, shifting my mind... but,'' Sebastian couldn't finish his sentence.
The wind blew much harder that day as the three friends walked down the Viaduct Bridge. It was already April and, usually, such days were sunnier. However, with Sebastian's mood, the weather seemed to have changed.
Sebastian caught Nathaniel staring at him several times as they walked outside. Normally, it would have excited him, but that day it just felt empty.
As they entered the Great Hall, their eyes met with countless students studying and eating at the same time.
''Aren't you glad that's not you, at least?'' Nathaniel smiled.
