After calming Bruce down and assuring him he would not be in a pressurized submarine, Natasha and Rose escort the men to the bridge of the helicarrier. Steve stands still, taking in the sight around him, while the other three prepare for being airborne. The technology on the ship had been new to Rose, but she had time to adapt, while Steve was seeing it for the first time. Rose looked over at her friend, and saw the wonderment in Steve's eyes, then saw him pull his wallet from his pocket to hand her a ten.
"And this isn't even the best part!" Rose yells, halting everyone around her for a moment, before turning back to their work. Rose was known for being loud, so it wasn't all that startling to anyone involved with SHIELD.
"Gentlemen," greets Fury, "and agents. Doctor Banner, thank you for joining us."
"Thank you for asking so nicely," said Banner, although the look on his face said otherwise, "How long will I be here?"
"Once we locate the tesseract, you are free to live," answers Fury, before turning to his command station."We are sweeping all wirelessly accessible cameras on the planet," mentions Rose to fill Banner in, "Cell phones, laptops, security cameras. If it's connected to a satellite it's our eyes."
Rose notices Steve brush her back and place something in her back pocket. She looks at the cap confused, before noticing his wallet was out yet again.
"I'm starting to feel like you set me up," teases Steve, pulling Rose under his arm in a joking way as he whispered in her ear. She jumped at the sudden closeness before laughing with the man. He had to admit he was extremely proud of the girl.
"How many spectrometers do you have access to?" askes Banner, "We need to narrow the field as much as possible."
"How many do you need?" responds Coulson.
"Call every lab you know and tell them to calibrate the spectrometers for gamma radiation, and put them on the roof," states Banner, "I'll need some lab space to rough out a basic cluster recognition system to start ruling places out."
"Rose's lab is just upstairs," answers Fury, finally looking up from his screen, "I'm sure she won't mind a partner though. Romanoff will you show him?""Of course," smiles Natasha, "You're gonna love it, she's got all the toys."
Fury pulled Rose aside, leaving Coulson the opportunity to ask Steve about his trading cards. The look on Steve's face made it clear he was a little uncomfortable, but wouldn't turn the man down.
"Does he know?" asks Fury, looking over Rose's shoulder at Rogers.
"Know what exactly?" questions Rose, "You're asking me to withhold a lot of information from him."
"I apologize, but it's for everyone's safety," says Fury.
"Cut the crap Fury, we both know you don't want him to know until the mission is over," responds Rose in anger, "You want me to take the brunt of his anger because he might still stick around."
"Who's sticking around?" asks Steven butting into the conversation. He had Rose start to raise her voice with Fury, so he wanted to step in.
Before anyone can respond to his question, an agent informs the group that Loki has been face-matched in Stuttgart, Germany. At their stations, agents prepare to launch quinjets as needed, once the group of enhanced individuals is ready.
"Rose, Captain, that's your cue," calls Fury, as Rose pulls Steve away.
"It's suit time Stevie boy!" Rose yells over and over, earning laughter from everyone around her. Steve laughed at her antics as she sprinted through the maze of hallways that the helicarrier had. Rose was terribly excited to show Steve his new suit, but she was also overly anxious. She had asked for Tony's help to create all the new modifications she wanted in it and relied on Coulson to make sure it was as accurate as possible compared to Steve's old threads. They stopped in front of a room with Steve's name on it, causing Rose to grab his hand and jam his thumb on the keypad to let them in. Once inside, the c closet door swiveled to showcase the Captain America suit.
