"Do you want to finish this Zinfandel first before we drink white?" Khun Tan asks as he finished the last of the utensils. He wipes his hands on the thin material of his pants, and it leaves wet patches on it.

It's not like Jay is observing him or anything. But yes.

"I think it's a little too heavy without meats, Khun C. We might get drunk. Maybe we should have a chardonnay? And some popcorn?"

"That sounds perfect. Can you start on the popcorn while I go get it?" Khun Tan asks.

"Very well," he rearranges the plates, wipes the sink, then dries his hand.

'I wonder if there's popcorn around here,' Jay thinks to himself.

Jay stands up from his seat and starts rummaging through the cupboards. Sugar, a few more spices. And some more utensils.

'The fridge, maybe?' Jay thinks.

And goes through the fridge and smiles to find some kernels for popcorn.

"Wow. They're really fully stocked," Jay says to himself. He was so ready to whip something up if it wasn't available, but lo and behold, it is.

"Jay? Can I ask you something?" Jay hears his older boss ask.

He didn't see him go back to the kitchen, nor hear footsteps.

"Yes? Of course, Khun C," Jay answers while he brings out a clean pan from the cupboards.

"I know this question is a little late, considering, you know the situation," his tone hesitant.

The elder sounds unsure and it made Jay curious so he stops his ministrations, and looks at the elder. And he sees him holding 2 bottles of what appears to be white wines of different brands.

"Can you hold your liquor just fine?" He asks. A little abashedly.

Jay almost snorts. Almost, but he just hides it with a smile and answers with, "Yes, I can. Can you?"

"Me too. Well, that settles it. They have all the good stuff for whites and it would be a waste not to get both. Since we're already paying for the bottle might as well empty it. Are you up for it?" Khun Tan eggs him on.

"Ha. Of course. You're on," Jay answers just as assertively.

"Okay. Good," then settles the bottles on the table.

Jay goes back to his popcorn and decides on a plain butter, salted, and some with caramel.

It takes him a few minutes more because he prefers he makes the caramel himself. So he checks up on his older boss to see how he's doing. And breathes out in relief to see him concentrated on his phone.

'Good, he won't notice I'm taking some time to make this popcorn,'

'Which by the way,' makes Jay remember,

"Did you manage to get some signal in here, Khun C?" Jay asks nonchalantly.

"Ha?" the older boss responds. To which Jay points at him looking at his phone.

"Oh no. I was just looking at pictures."

"Pictures?"

"Yes, pictures,"
