Jay dries his hair with a small towel he found on the shelf, and he's sporting the best sleeping wear he's ever worn. The top fits his frame perfectly, and the length of the pants stopped just at the tip of his heel. The color is in between an Oxford or Prussian blue, something he can somewhat identify from working on logistics for some time. That and a lot of people told him this shade of blue looks good on him. His pale skin looks good in this shade which flatters it, without overaccentuating. He looks at himself in the mirror and again contemplates when did Khun Tan know his size. Because this luxury brand requires exact measurements because their specialty is customizations. Well, Khun Tan has access to his files, his measurements might have been on there. Or just a grand showcase of his amazing skill of attention to detail and deduction. Very useful in business, indeed.
Jay shrugs and exits the bathroom. And the first thing he sees out is the huge glass window and the vague view of the sea. If he closes his eyes and concentrates, he can even hear the sea a little. That or he's just really happy to see the ocean again. He smiles to himself and creates a mental note to check the shore first thing in the morning. And maybe if this part of Thailand shows the sunrise, he'll watch that too.
"Lights, off," Jay instructs and the lights in the bedroom and the bathroom all turn off.
On the way down, he hears some metal clanking, and he sees Khun Tan getting a little busy in the kitchen.
Jay giggles and heads towards the huge kitchen but not without looking at every detail at this part of the house.
The biggest kitchen he's seen in his life. If asked what's his favorite part of the house, it's this kitchen.
The first thing he sees is the wide expanse of the room. The long, and wide white island, stretching towards the left, with on the same panel is the sink. And on the right, is another long panel with dark brown chairs under it, and beyond that L-shaped island is a huge, black, 2-door refrigerator. Beside it is the electric convection range, with a smart range hood, and most parts of the wall are cupboards.
And on the right side beyond the fridge, is a huge sliding glass door, leading towards the front yard. And on the left side of the kitchen is another sliding glass door leading towards the recreational room.
"When did you get here?" Khun C asks.
Jay takes a seat and leans on the island. His face settled on the back of his palms.
"Literally a few seconds ago. Enough to see you can barely hold the frying pan," Jay answers.
C glares at him a little.
"Khun Tan," Jay adds and giggles.
Khun C lets go of the meager pan and lean on the sink and looks at the younger man.
"I was getting hungry and I didn't want to bother you," Khun C says.
Jay gets up from his seat, rounds the island towards the sink, and stretches his hand towards the elder.
"Can I borrow your apron, Khun Tan?" Jay asks.
C takes off his apron, hands it over to Jay, and takes the same position Jay was in earlier.
Jay starts with looking at the drawers to know what and where everything is. And looks through the cupboards and the fridge for what supplies are available, and finally knows what he can make.
He takes out the ingredients and washes the produce that needs to be washed. He starts slicing, and takes out a packet of popcorn, and turns to the convection cooker and the range hood, and heats up the pan that was already out.
