-chapter 14-

y/n's POV: I'm sitting on the breakfast table with my parents, eating cereal. They probably talk to me but my mind is somewhere else. The operation. It's taking place right now. I hear the voices of my parents echoing trough the kitchen, they're talking about whatever. 

"y/n!" 

I look up from my bowl as I hear my name. 

"I was talking to you" my mum continues. I flash a glance at her but then I quickly focus on my cereal again. Actually I focus on the thought of Miguel and if he's alright.

"Do you want us to bring you to the hospital after Miguel's operation?"

I think this is the third time she asked that but now I get it.

"Yes, thanks" I answer.

Later:

I'm sitting behind my parents in the car. My father drives to the hospital. As soon as he parks in front of the building, I get out of the car and head to Miguel's room.

Carmen leaves the room as I arrive.

"Hey. You can get in, he's awake. He woke up like 1h ago" 

"Okay, thank you"

 "Hey"  Miguel says weakly as I enter the room.

"Hi, how are you?" I say, close the door and sit down on his bed.

"I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired" he looks at me and tries to smile. I grab his hand.

"We should talk" he then says.

"Talk about what?"

"About us" Miguel looks deeply into my eyes, I look away. I'm getting warm and I don't really know what to say.

"I like you but you already know that"

I want to say something, I don't know what but as I open my mouth, Johnny opens the door.

"Hey dude, how's it going"

I let go of his hand and stand up.

"Hi y/n" Johnny says smirking.

Suddenly Miguel's phone rings. I give it a look and see that Tory is calling. What does she want??? Miguel tries to pick up his phone but he cannot reach it. As Johnny notices he asks

"Want your phone?"

"Yes please"

Johnny grabs the phone and throws it on the floor, far away from Miguel's bed.

"Then get it" he says.

I look at Miguel, he sighs but then he tries to get out of his bed. I give him my hands to help but Johnny pulls me back.

"Really Sensei?" Miguel says annoyed.

"Quiet!" Johnny screams and we wince. 

Miguel puts one foot on the ground and then the other. He holds on his bed. As soon as his hands try to reach his phone, he falls on the ground. 

"Shit" Johnny says and helps him get back into his bed.

"I will never be able to walk again and it's your fault, Sensei! You said we have to give mercy sometimes that's what I did. And now look at me" Miguel points to his legs "It's all your fault  and I'm gonna be sitting in a wheelchair my whole life" his eyes get watery and he speaks up.

"Miguel..."

"No! Get out of here" he yells.

"Miguel you're gonna be alright" I say trying to calm him down. He looks at me but says nothing. That's when Johnny and I leave the room.

At home:

You sit in your room and think about what Miguel said. Will he never be able to walk again? But that's not Johnny's fault. It's good to give mercy. You cannot change what happend. Suddenly your phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Hello it's Robby"

"Robby.. what do you want?"

"There's something you need to know you won't be happy about. I told you not to deal with Miguel anymore but you did. He-"

you cut him off "Robby, I have no time left for your games. I know it's hard in prison for you but you'll get out of there. We broke up and you have to get over this"

You're about to hang up but then he says 

"I was in the hospital yesterday because- Doesn't matter. But I saw Miguel kissing Tory"

y/n's POV:

I let my phone sink as I hear what Robby just said. A bad feeling in my stomach comes up. That's why I saw Tory there a few times. I really thought Miguel loves me. 

"y/n? Are you there?" Robby asks and I hang up on him.
