-chapter 9-

After you hung up on Robby:

y/n's POV: Maybe I just overreacted too.. I should give Robby a chance. He's had a rough life.  Maybe that's why he did that to Miguel? Like Johnny told me? But no, that's not an excuse. Anyways, I should give him at least a chance to talk to me.

You grab your things and take a bus to the jail where Robby is. 

"I want to visit Robby Keene" you say as you arrived at the reception. A woman leads you into an uncomfortable room, all white and some desks on the ground. Then you see Robby sitting at one of the desks.

Robby's POV: I am sitting on my bed. Suddenly a guard walks over to me and tells me that I have a visitor. Gosh I hope it's y/n. I miss her. It's probably someone else because she hung up on me... I follow the guard to the room where the prisoners can talk to their visitors. I sit down at a desk and wait for my visitor. That's when I look up and see y/n. She looks at me, I look at her and smile. She doesn't smile back but I'm happy she's here. Then she walks over to me and sits down in front of me. For a second nobody talks, we just stare into each  other's eyes but then she says

"Hey"

"Hey y/n. I missed you. Are you ok?"

She coughs and says "I am NOT ok. Miguel's in a coma"

y/n's POV: Ok. Calm down. "Sorry" I continue. "How are you? What happened to your face?" I point at the wounds on his face. Tbh I'm a little bit worried about him...

"Ohh uhm" he touches his face "seems like here are some prisoners who don't really like me" he chuckles.

I'm sorry for him. 

"So what did you do the last few days?" he tries to change the subject. It's so akward to talk to him help!!

"I visited Miguel in the hospital and guess what! When I took his hand he pressed mine! That's a pretty good sign!"

I smile at the thought of Miguel but when I look at Robby his smile disappeared.

"I made a huge mistake so that Miguel's in a coma. But I think it's the best for you when you stop seeing him" he says.

"Seriously? Are you forbidding me to visit Miguel?!!" My mood changes quickly.
I can't believe that! He is just jealous and tries to find a reason for me to stop seeing Miguel.

"Yes, kind of" Robby answers.

No way. He is being serious. He doesn't want me to visit Miguel anymore. I gave him a chance. I visited him here even though he's the reason why my best friend is in a coma. That was a mistake.

My eyes fill with tears and I look at Robby. I have to do this. It's the right decision ok?  It is. He can not just do that. He should trust me.

"I-" I start but I just can't say it out loud. 

"I'm breaking up with you" Yes... I did it..

Then I grab my things, stand up and ran out of the room. That's when he yells "y/n no! Wait!" I don't look back. I needed to do this.

I leave the jail crying. In front of it I stop. I let go my bag so it falls on the ground. I realise what I just did. I'm just standing here crying when I collapse into myself. Now I'm just on the ground with my hands covering my face. All of sudden I hear a familar voice behind me 

"y/n?"

 I turn around. It's Johnny.

Later at Johnny's apartment:

When he found you on the ground in front of the jail he helped you get up and took you to his apartment. He was about to visit Robby that's why he was there. When you enter his apartment, you take a seat at the couch. Johnny goes to the fridge.

"Do you wanna drink anything?" he asks.
"Yes, water please"

He comes back to you with a glass of water and a beer for himself. Then he sits down next to you.

"So do you wanna tell me what happened" he asks when he looks at you. You tell him everything. "I'm so sorry... That's all my fault. I screwed up with Robby. He's a good person. Please don't forget that. But like I told you I was never there for him. I'm so sorry" he says after you finished.

"I know he is a good person. Really! But I can't let him tell me what I gotta do"

"I understand"
"Thank you Johnny" you say.

"No need to thank me" he says. "That's the bare minimum".

2 days later:

y/n's POV: School had just finished and I'm on my way back home. I'm walking straight to my house. In front of the door I get a call from Carmen.  I hope Miguel's alright!

"Hi Carmen. What's up?" I answer the call.

"y/nnnn!!! You won't believe me" Carmen is out of breath.

"Calm down!! Is everything ok?" I answer excited.

"Yes! y/n, you have to come to the hospital now. Miguel just woke up!" Carmen says rapidly. 

NO WAY MIGUEL IS AWAKE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Shit, my parents aren't at home I gotta take my bike...

"Carmen I'm so happy I'm on my way" I say and hang up. I run to my bake as fast as possible and drive to the hospital. 

There I throw my bike on the ground. I don't care about it I just want to see him. I'm out of breath. I run directly to his room and stop in front of it. There he is! Awake!! Carmen and his Yaya are currently standing in front of his bed when I enter the room.

"Miguel!" I scream a bit too loud. They turn around, smile at me and Carmen says "Nice to see you y/n! Well, we'll leave you alone now" they leave the room and close the door. Miguel looks at me. He smiles. I smile. Then I just run over to him and hug him. He's a bit weak. I don't know how long we're hugging but as we pull apart some time has passed. 

"How are you?" I then ask.

"I think I'm fine. It's even better since you're here." 

He's so cute. I grab a chair which is standing in a corner and push it next to his bed so I can sit down. We're just smiling at each other when he says 

"I could hear you"

What does he mean?? I give him a confused look.

"When I was in the coma I could hear everything around me. I heard you visited me with Johnny. And what you said"

"What did I say?" I can't remember what I told him..

"You said you love me" he smiles and looks down. "And since Johnny told you what I told him you knew I like you"

Omg that's what I said! I was being serious.. 

"Were you serious?" he then asks. I look into his eyes.

"Yes. I was" I answer. 

Miguel takes my hand. Suddenly he comes closer. So I do. I swear I wanna kiss him. He's now so close that I can feel his breath. Just before his lips touch mine a nurse opens the door and we pull apart fast.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you but I need to check Miguel now" she says.

Good thing she didn't see us almost kissing but she interrupted us...

"Ok. Bye Miguel" I say, stand up and leave the room.

"Bye y/n" he says smiling.
