Previously: He spent an hour, tasting the granola bar as it soaked between his teeth, before giving up and lying down, and going back to sleep.

We Continue...

-------------------------------------------------------

After dropping off Ivon Evangeline runs back down to Atokaru. "Well, so, since we're a team now can I stay with you?" She says with quick breathing. "I kinda just got here so... yeah." She grinned at him.

She stood there, ready and waiting. He nods to Evangeline. "Of course, you can stay with me. Hmm... Where to go from here..." Suddenly she's hit by the loss of adrenaline. And feels a bit sleepy.

So she rubs her eyes and yawns. She just stands there. "Hmm? You seem exhausted... We could always rest here for a while." "It's fine it's probably better to be somewhere with resources. I kinda need to stock up anyway. Don't wanna be unprepared for next time."

She smiles tiredly. And shakes herself a little to wake up. "Ready to go?" He nods, ready to leave the building. "I am ready when you are."

"Ok then." She turns and walks out of the building pulling up her hood. Into the streets of Sacramento. He follows suit, seeming as neutral as always. "By the way, I was wondering. In the beginning, people were freakin after the card was announced. Is there a reason for that?"

She said as she walked. "I'm heading to Costco by the way, hope that's cool with you. Just for supplies." She turned to look at him. "Oh, there is a set difficulty for each game, with ten being the highest. At least, as far as I'm aware..." "Good to know good to know."

She went silent and continued walking. She looked up at the sky. He continued to follow Evangeline in silence. He wasn't one for striking conversation. "The names Evangeline."

She said, breaking their comfortable silence. "But you can call me Evan or Sao. Whatever is easiest." She looks back ahead. And chuckles simply because she is excited. "I see... My name is Atokaru Tani, though you may call me whatever you wish."

He speaks in a rather formal fashion, though it's not unusual for him. "Sweet I'll come up with a cool nickname then." She smiles softly at him. She could see Costco in the distance. "I know I ask a lot of questions right now, I just wanted to apologize before I'm actually sorry. But, how long have you been here."

Another small yawn escaped from her. "In this world I mean." You don't need to apologize... As for how long I have been here.. several months, perhaps. It has been quite a while..." He simply tilts his head a little, his expression remaining neutral. She turned to face forward as her smile faltered.

"So there's really no way to get out except death." She muttered under her breath, at this point she knew but was struggling with the acceptance of it. The entrance was now a few steps away. Letting out a sad sigh she stopped in front. He stops next to Evan, tilting his head at her.

His expression remains neutral, though there is a hint of concern in his voice. "Is something troubling you?" "Well..." She thinks hard. Turning to face him.
