Previously: That had taken a lot of willpower, seeing as the day before it had been too hard to keep herself awake so as not to startle Tantan. Her breath was steady and silent.

We Continue...

Lars stumbled into the lobby, collapsing and staring at the ceiling. So tired. So hungry. Why did he deprive himself of everything? He didn't have the mental capacity to answer that anymore.

Evan had woken up after three hours of rest to clean out her cut and replace her bloodied bandage. It was starting to dry kind of, but not really. She opened up the door of the apartment and walked out, standing outside for some fresh air. She was extremely sore. She sighed, still rather tired, but it wasn't too bad.

She hummed you are my sunshine as she felt the wind flow through her hair. He groans in pain as he begins to pass out. She hears a groan and looks down. She slowly and tiredly walks down the stairs. Unsure of what caused the noise.

Down to the first floor. By this point, he is blacked out, lying on the floor in a fetal position. His clothes are dirtied and slightly torn and he looks thin and slightly emaciated. She looks around the corner and sees Lars. And concern takes over her face.

She walks over to him and thinks hard. "Hey, are you conscious?" She says as she crouches down to talk to him. When there's no response she stands up and stretches her arms, then stretches out her calf muscles. Then reached down to pick him up.

Struggling a bit at first because of her being a bit petite. Carried him bridal style up the stairs into an apartment next to Ivon's and carefully laid him down on the other bed. She sighed tiredly as she moved backward. "This place has become a hospital." She dropped and sat down.

Jeez, she was so tired. Lars felt himself getting picked up and brought to a room. Opening his eyes, he mostly stared vacantly, too tired to speak or move, or anything of the sort. But he was thankful. At the very least, they were willing to help.

She breathes heavily, standing up. After regaining her breath. She walks over to him. Seeing his eyes had opened, she pulled down the blanket and softly placed it over him. "Lars, what happened?"

She looked over at him. "Do you need something to eat?" She tilted her head at him. Lars blinked a few times, noticing Evan was standing over him. Of course.. he supposed they were all forming yet another doomed conglomerate of people.

Opening his mouth to talk, he realized his throat was starting to dry, so instead, he simply nodded. She ran back to Ivon's and grabbed and grabbed water and an apple. She didn't want to clear out Ivon's supply so she was careful about it. She came back. "Here," She said.

He took a swig of the water and cleared his throat. "Thank you.." He started to slowly chomp on the apple, silently chewing and staring at it. It seemed like he was only focused on the food he was eating, reverting to survival instincts. "Your welcome.."

She said, sighing. She looked as her cut had re-opened. She really had to stop carrying things. Her bandage was going red again. And she was still quite tired.

"You're lucky we were here. If Atokaru wasn't in a bad spot we wouldn't still be here. And Ivon wouldn't have been able to get you up here herself. I'm glad I got to you in time." She moved backward and sat down near the wall. Running a hand through her hair after undoing it. Her eyes threatened to close.

He ate the apple, small bit by small bit. Even the core wasn't spared, he just gulped it all down. "Mm... food." She simply fell asleep for a solid 5 minutes on the wall. He fell asleep as well.

After 5 mins she sprung back up. Seeing Lars had fallen asleep and made sure his blanket was on him enough. Before quickly walking out of the room. Back to Atokaru. She was honestly quite sad.

Seeing him in that state.

But she was too tired to cry.

Fun Fact: If Evan hadn't mentioned Atokaru to Ivon, she wouldn't have known. And he would have died in that Costco unbeknownst to Evangeline.
