Previously: Avora teared up as she passed out. Her voice shifted into a motherly tone , "I'll save you, that's for sure. Even if it means trading my own sanity for the sake of your own." She whispered softly. She didn't want to move her so she decided to let her rest where the books had laid. She took a blanket and wrapped her in it so she can bask in the warmth instead of feeling the bare coldness. Evangeline looked like she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders even as she wasn't even conscious. It was honestly the most pain she had been in. And it seemed her left hand was broken or fractured from the trash bin.
We Continue..

Avora squeezed a bit tighter. "We need to get you patched up. I hope you know that. Afterwards we can set up a plan, okay? Whatever happened out there. We are NOT letting it happen to us." Evangeline didn't respond and had absolutely no idea Avora was talking to her until maybe 20 to 30 minutes later when she regained consciousness. "...Huh?" She said as she opened her eyes.
Avora peered over and had seen she had finally woken up. "Hey, someone is finally up." She patted her head lightly and told her in a whisper, "We need to get you patched up." "Can't have you walk around wounded like this. It's only a matter of time before everything really starts going to hell. Are you hungry by any chance? I'm going to try and make us something with the supplies we have. Sorry if I'm being fidgety, just really worried about you and don't want you having to do everything yourself again." Evangeline stared at her, before glancing around as if she was looking for someone.
But she shook her head no when she was asked if she was hungry. And all the memories came flooding back of what happened before. She looked at the wall instead of making eye contact. "Hey, you there??" By the way Eva winced at the wall , she knew everything came back.
I bet her mind is flooded right now . . . That's fine. Just got to be strong for the two of us. "Hey, I'm going to be in the kitchen okay? So sit tight and I'll bring you something in case. If you wanna talk about what had happened then ..I'll be here too. Sometimes we need closure and that's completely alright." Avora hugged her once more before she had left the room. Avora headed downstairs and into the kitchen, she looked through the dusty cabinets in hopes of looking for something. "A box of rigatoni ..? Yes !!"
She put the box down and immediately searched for a pot and the ingredients needed to complete the meal. Evangeline tried calling for her as she left. But her voice was gone and nothing came out. So all she could do was curl into a ball. And stare at the wall.
Her small body was still trembling, but not as bad as it had before. Avora proceeded to fill the pot with water, not too much though or the water would spill out as she put in the noodles. She did it with ease. Afterward, she put the pot on and turned on the heat. She placed the pot on the stove and waited for the water to steam and boil.
Evangeline saw the books had been moved. And saw that she had made the mistake of burying him close enough to see the outline of fresh dirt and flowers through her own window. Her knees buckled and she dropped to the floor. Silent tears running down her raw cheeks. The pain in her chest is only getting worse.
