Evangeline slowly opens her eyes and sees him. She's a bit startled at first. But then she smiles. He looks so peaceful. She didn't want to disturb him as he slept so she rolled away.
Giving him a kiss on the cheek before she left. And walked to the ledge of Costco looking out over the streets as she had done time and time again. She sighed, fiddling with the holder of the pocket knife from before. She would go back inside soon. She smiled as she daydreamed.
And hummed. It made her laugh to think that her happiest moments were in a death game. Though if you thought about it hard enough life on earth had been a death game as well, just less severe. Now her head was throbbing a bit and she rubbed it. She took a deep breath, scared of what may come, but happy and thankful for what she got.
And with that, she got up and went back into the Costco softly and quietly laying back down so as not to disturb him. She was back comfortable as she closed her eyes. Though she wasn't really asleep. Just enjoying the moment.
