"I, on the other hand, am gonna head to get the gun. I'll be right back." She said, slightly hopping from one foot to another. She then rushed out into Sacramento streets without another word. Meanwhile, Lars is still trying to walk off his grief, not sure who to talk to or what to do. Fortunately, his supply of granola hasn't run out. She ran past Lars and headed to the old neighborhood which was where she had lived before. Jogging the whole way. He waved when she passed, but mostly kept wandering. He was looking for a guitar.

She right away noticed the door was not unlocked. And remembered how many times she had been in this predicament. Thankfully though, she was smart enough and after all of this struggling had hidden it underneath the doormat. She crouched down and picked it up. Honestly surprised the key was still there. "Sweet." She said unlocking the door, putting down the keys, and grabbing a card off the shelf. Her brother always locked his door when he left, but it had one of those slots in it where it could be turned from the outside. And so she let herself in.

She went into his closet and knelt down to find a small safe. "Shoot." She hadn't thought about this. She thought and thought about what the code could be, remembering she had a girlfriend at the time Evan had disappeared and he was crazy about her. Must be their anniversary. She thought. But when she put in the code, she was incorrect. She stood up and looked around the room. Searching for anything else relating to his girlfriend. "Oh." She said as she saw a pamphlet on his shelf. Her birthday was coming soon. So she took the pamphlet and crouched back down to the safe to input the code. It made a clicking noise, and soon it popped open. "Yes!"

She did a small happy dance before grabbing the gun ever so carefully. It was fully loaded. And in the safe, there were maybe two more rounds of bullets. She held it carefully in her hand and stood up. It was weighted and wonderful. She turned off the safety. She had never handled a gun before but she had seen plenty of action movies. She cocked it as her brother had shown her. And aimed at the shelf. Standing back and shooting after readying herself. She aimed for a certain book but she wasn't used to the recoil of the gun.

It surprised her with its power as it shot and she missed the shelf entirely. She sighed. She would need some practice to be good with this. She took the rounds and held them in her pockets and just safely carried the gun and as she decided to walk past. Heading back out to Sacramento streets. She walked safely through the streets. Deciding not to practice out here. You never knew if someone could be inside someplace. She didn't want to be an accidental murderer. And then she walked back into the Costco.

"Hey, I'm back." She said as she walked in through the door. Carrying the gun ever so carefully. "I really think we should head back." She said to Avora as she noticed the brightness of the sky. It would be dark soon and the natural light inside the Costco was dimming. "Let's go." And she headed back with Avora all the way to the apartments.
