After Lady Karissa puts the children down for the evening she returns downstairs to the living room where Lord Andrew Charles is sitting in his easy chair and Lady Karissa says, "The children love it when you tell them stories about their history."

"I only tell them what I know and what I was told from my father." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"Children love all kinds of stories from fairy tales to real adventure." Lady Karissa explains, "It is the way that they learn."

"It's a shame that the Howard's don't talk much about their women in their family." Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.

"I do know that my great-grandmother Lady Jeannette Virginia had one daughter, her beloved Lady Sophia Charlotte who is Lord Richard William Carey's great-grandmother." Lord Andrew Charles explains.

"Father said she was brave, courageous, and adventurous and she was a real lady of quality and my great-great-grandfather allowed her to marry for love and she was the only one." Lord Andrew Charles explains.

"I don't know the date she met Lord William Carey and it's not recorded when she married him but she did and she had two children, Lord George and Lady Georgina Carey." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa.

"Father remembers when his first cousin Lord George married Lady Isabella Bourbon and he said it was a happy marriage and they were very much in love and they were blessed with Lord Robert in 2225 and Lady Roberta in 2230." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"Father remembers Lord Robert married Lady Lettice Knolly in 2248 and he remembers when Lady Lettice gave birth to Lord Richard William in June of 2250 and I was five when when Lady Lettice gave birth to Lady Richenda and they moved to Rigel Seven." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa.

"Lord Robert was worried about Kudos as governor of Rigel Seven where they lived and with that Lord Robert and Lady Lettice contacted his father, Lord George and Lady Roberta on Star Base 12 and they sent them to Star Base 12 to keep them safe. Father would have been on the warpath against Kudos if anything had happened to his kin." Lord Andrew Charles states.

"Father would have waged war on Kudos if anything befell on his kin." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa.

"Kudos is afraid of the Howard Clan. He knows we are one of the most powerful families on Star Base 12." Lord Andrew Charles states.

"I was 20 years old when Lord Richard William became Duke of Bedford Territory, Lady Karissa. He is very low profile and very humble." Lord Andrew Charles states.

"I think humbleness and reverence are admirable traits in people. I like low profile." Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.

"I detest all this pomp and circumstance." Lady Karissa states, "I don't think it is becoming."

"Do you really think all this pomp and circumstance is necessary?" Lady Karissa asks.

"All glitz and glamour isn't my style. I prefer simplicity and modesty." Lady Karissa confesses.

"If I had my way Lady Karissa. I would rather live the life of a country squire in the countryside but I can't." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"When we had Lady Elizabeth. We became Duke and Duchess of Norfolk Territory." Lord Andrew Charles explains.

"No you became Duke and it's your cross to bear not mine." Lady Karissa states.

"I am your wife and Duchess-Consort, but I don't have to give into it and I won't." Lady Karissa answers.
