Episode 0 - 3: Uphill Battle

With a loud boom, Doctor punched a hole in the enemy forces, but it was quickly turned into a dent since more flushed into their place.

Doctor felt that is arm was in pain and looked down, his limb glowing red from the power and pain he had just received.

'Too much power...?' He wondered, before hopping out of the way of fire. 'I need to dial it down a bit. I'm letting the adrenaline get to me.' The Doctor said as he ran away from the stream of bullets. As soon as the first clip ran out, their comrades had their back, unloading another round at the Doctor.

He slid to a stop and hopped overtop of the army, making them look up, only to see him disappear. With another loud boom, Doctor landed in between their forces with a shockwave, knocking most of Mephisto's troops off their feet. With them in a daze, that was Rhodes Island's time to make a move. Doctor hopped out of their numbers and back over to Amiya.

"That work?" He asked with a small wince. "That should give us a chance... what's wrong? We're you hit?! Medic!" Amiya called over. "N-No, I wasn't it. But I am kinda hurt. I think I overexert my power. I used too much." Doctor said looking at his bruising arm after he rolled up his sleeve. Amiya observed it alongside the Medic and hummed. "Well, since this is new to both of us, try not to be this reckless." She scolded. "Yes." Doctor nodded before Amiya ran off to go help.

"Done. Please be careful." The Medic said after wrapping his arm, and pulling his sleeve down. "I'm gonna hear that a lot..." Doctor thought before dashing off.

Dobermann knocked the gun out of several Reunion members hands as Ace shield her from their previous fire. The Rhodes Island troops began to use Doctor's dent to try and push back their numbers, but it was proving difficult due to the sheer amount of troops Mephisto had.

"Damnit. It's taking all we have just to hold this line!" Dobermann said with worry. "Focus your fire on their ranged enemies!" Doctor yelled hopping over the two and back into the fray. "Casters! Take care of their Vanguard!" He added before toppling their forces again, making them all stumble with his stomp.

"Good, good! This how things should be! Next up, F3, E5!" Mephisto commanded, giving Chess commands. "Two can play it that game! Sweep them out as I do!" Doctor yelled charging more power into his arm like before. He slammed it into the ground, making another shockwave to keep them grounded, and leave them open. "Excellent! Now, B4, B5!" Mephisto ordered. The troops all complying to Doctor's and Mephisto's orders, moving, attacking, and defending as told.

The Reunion troops began to spread out wider into two groups and sandwich the Rhodes Island force. "Defenders, divide with snipers and hold them off! They're a distraction at best!" Doctor replied to the flank. "Hehe! And next, H2, H6!" Mephisto said with a laugh, enjoying himself.

"They're rushing our defensive line!" Dobermann announced. "Vanguards, flush them out! I'll help!" Doctor said bouncing over head and stomping down on a Reunion member. "That's right! Let me see just how much you'll struggle to survive!" Mephisto cackled. "Now, Casters. Move to C7. Capture their Rook!" Mephisto ordered. "The Casters are hiding behind their Defenders!" Amiya informed. "It's too late! Take cover!" Dobermann yelled.

With three hums, explosions hit Rhodes Island's forces, and smoke was covering them grim Mephisto's vision. "That's right... Now, be snuffed out, like flames before a storm!" He yelled.

"How is he giving out such precise orders with Chess moves...?" Amiya wondered in disbelief. "Those same disorderly thugs have been turned into an army under his command...! At this rate, he's going to keep exploiting the advantage he gets through his leadership..." Amiya said with worry. "On the other hand, if we manage to suppress him, they'll fall into disarray— don't give them even the slightest opening!" Dobermann yelled.
