Episode 3 - 1: Tables Turned

"Finally." Doctor muttered as they made it to the meeting place, everyone sighing as well.

"I'll take Misha to Madam Ch'en." Amiya said earning nods, but the Doctor followed in silence. The three walked up to the impatient Ch'en.

"You're late again. Lungmen doesn't want anymore security risks." She began, making the Doctor a little pissed.

"I fucking wonder why, Miss 'We're-well-prepared-for-Reunion'. We got ambushed and attacked like seven damn times, with back up from everyone but the L.G.D—" The Doctor complained, but Amiya kicked him in the shin. The Doctor fell to his knees and looked up at her, feeling betrayed.

"Sorry. He's usually a lot more professional." Amiya said glaring down at the Doctor, who rubbed his leg in annoyance. "Somehow, I doubt that." Ch'en spat, upset she didn't get to put him in his place.

"As he said, we were attacked several times by Reunion. In fact, they are still around. It's not safe here. Please take Misha and leave as soon as possible." Amiya suggested, the Doctor standing up with an unamused stare.

"And you're Misha?" Ch'en asked the girl in questioned, who slightly cowered behind Amiya. "I am..." She answered. "From now on, you will follow the L.G.D.'s arrangements. PC94172, you're in charge of this girl." Ch'en commanded, the unit requested making their appearance.

"Come with me." The heavily armored figure said. "Amiya..." Misha said looking at her with anticipation. "It's fine." Amiya told her, before turning to Ch'en.

"Madam Ch'en, I don't know what Lungmen needs her for... but I hope that you can ensure her safety." Amiya said desperately. "We already treat the Infected very well," Ch'en stated, spotting the Doctor's doubtful face, making her pissed. "I see... But, Misha is not in good health. We hope that Lungmen will allow her to live in Rhodes Island after this." Amiya requested, almost giving her 'puppy eyes'.

"...I'll send an application to Chief Wei." Ch'en responded. "Lungmen will transfer her to Rhodes Island if she passes our checks with no other issues. That is, if there aren't any problems. It shouldn't take long." Ch'en informed, the Doctor's face growing even more doubtful making her even more furious. "Understood. We'll part ways for the time being, Misha. Rhodes Island welcomes you." Amiya said with a smile.

"...Amiya, while I'm gone, please protect those kids in the slums." Misha requested. "No problem, you have my promise! ...by the way, Misha, next time, could you teach me how to make dolls?" Amiya asked. "..Hehe. Mhm, sure." Misha answered, before being led away.

"That was adorable." Doctor commented stifling a laugh, and earning a glare.

"Is our mission over now?" Frank wondered. "Rhodes Island will have their hands tied the more they get dragged into all this." Texas replied with a shrug. "But, Lungmen is still keeping a lot of secrets from us." Franka reminded.

"Lungmen doesn't seem to care about us too much... but the opposite seems to be true for Reunion." Liskarm said with a sigh.

"L.G.D.'s Escort team managed to leave safely. But, it doesn't look like our enemies have any intention of letting us go." Franka commented as Reunion began to approach. The entire street was on top of more buildings, meaning their means of escape was limited, and time-consuming. "As long as they don't know that Misha has left with the L.G.D., they'll continue to focus their efforts on us. Misha will be safer this way." Amiya said as she and the Doctor arrived, his troops from Rhodes Island now here to combat his enemies.

"Now that I think about it, why are both Reunion and Lungmen after this kid?" Liskarm questioned. "I can't say for sure. There are a lot of possibilities. My best guess is that either she, or something she knows, is significant enough to determine Lungmen's continued safety. Perhaps some intel or information..." Amiya replied. "What a dangerous contest..." Liskarm commented.
