"The fog has dispersed. We've received communications from L.G.D. They found more Reunion movements. They're currently tracking down one enemy, described as female with white hair." Hoshiguma said speaking with Amiya and the Doctor."Doctor, Ch'en told me she wanted you to... you don't look so good." Hoshiguma commented. Amiya wasn't focused either, and was staring at the Doctor, who was standing by the now buried Skullshatterer.
He had gotten his arm healed, and replaced his gloves with those in his pockets, his eyes the same as usual, his crying long gone. He wasn't hit as hard as they thought they'd be, but that's only because of his mentality about it.
_
"It's one of many. There are more to come, and more have gone." He said after standing up earlier.
_
"I'm fine. I've killed before, just... never had someone die in my arms." The Doctor said ruffling his hair with a groan. "Who knows how many people I've killed..." He said with a sigh.
"Welp. I signed up for this, I guess. What's up?" The Doctor asked. "It'd be ideal to leave within five minutes." Hoshiguma said leaving the two alone. "Give me two." The Doctor said with a nod.
"I'm sorry, Doctor..." Amiya started. "Now, whatever you're gonna say is wrong, but go on anyway." The Doctor said with a hand on his hip. "For not being able to defend you! Y-You... shouldn't have had to go through that... I get this is our line of business, and our job, but it still isn't right. You shouldn't be on the frontlines." Amiya said sternly. "...You make a valid point. I shouldn't. I have no recollection of ever signing up for this, I don't remember giving my consent, and I sure as hell haven't seen any contract." The Doctor replied.
"H-Huh? That's... not what I meant—" Amiya tried to correct, but was cut off. "I mean, look at what I keep doing to myself... to others. I beat people senseless for a cause I can't even sympathize with because I'm not one of you. Why am I even here? All of my efforts have go waste, me. Great job losing your memory, you idiot... You're traumatizing yourself all over again, and letting down those you fight for. Just what the hell..." The Doctor said all with a blank face.
"Am I doing here...?" The Doctor asked himself looking up at the night sky.
Amiya was speechless at his conversation with himself, and slowly took a step forward.
"Don't worry about me. Let's face the problem at hand. They're coming back for the body." Doctor said making Amiya confused, before looking over, and seeing the group that had previously fleed rushing Hoshiguma and the others.
"Madam Hoshiguma, watch your right!" Amiya shouted.
Hoshiguma spun her shield to her right and blocked an explosion, earning a giggle from the assailant.
"You managed to block that? That's a bit interesting..." W commented. "An explosion? Another Reunion ambush?!" Hoshiguma asked in shock. "Not just that, of course~. I'd like you to behave and stay put right here. Don't think about turning back, alright?" W asked sending another explosive.
"Tsk... Where did you come from?!" Hoshiguma spat blocking again. "Again with those explosives...! Amiya, I'm getting bombarded by Reunion! Their forces are currently headed your way!" Hoshiguma informed.
"Hmm, that shield of yours is pretty sturdy. Seems like I've gotten myself into a bit a of trouble. Whatever, I'll just treat it like I'm doing Reunion a little favor." W said to herself. "Show me something entertaining. Make sure you don't let me down~." She said with excitement.
The Doctor sighed and began walking to the commotion, no orders needed since the only threat at the moment was W, and his operators were easily fending off Reunion themselves. Amiya assumed command again on instinct of his absence and sighed seeing him walk away, right back to his trauma.
