James Bucky Barnes (1940's)
I was working a late night shift at the cafeteria, it was the day before all the young men would go to fight for our country meaning the place was pretty much full of families saying goodbye. It was a hectic day for everyone, for now there weren't a lot of people since most of them were already on their homes to get some rest or at the Stark convention. I was cleaning some of the tables when I heard the little bells from the door ring, meaning someone came in (no shit). I walked to the counter where two guys were sitting one extremely skinny and the other one in his military uniform, I walked in front of them to take their order looking at them more closely. The one in the military uniform had the most beautiful blue eyes you could ever imagine, his hair perfectly brushed back and oh god I am staring! Shit! Y/N act quick.
"Good evening gentlemen, what can I get for you?" I said grabing a notepad and pen
"Evening doll, I'll get a black coffee please and a slice of cake." The one with the uniform said
"Alright darling, and what can I get for you?" I ask looking at the blonde guy who was about as thin as a noodle.
"Oh, I uh I'll get a coffee and a slice of pie. Thanks" he said looking at the floor
"Coming right up!" I said walking away to get their order set, I couldn't help but feel someone looking at me but I brushed it off. Once i had everything ready I took the food and drinks to them.
"A coffee for you with pie" I handed it to the blonde guy
"And coffee with a slice of cake for you" I handed it to the one in uniform
"Thanks a lot doll, also may I ask you a question?" the one in uniform said
"Sure thing handsome." I said looking around just to see the place mostly empty
"I was wondering if there's any lucky guy in your life. If not, would you do me the honor of going out with me dancing when I get back from the war?" He said with a slight smirk on his face. This man was really a flirt.
"There's no guy in my life and, of course. May I get your name first?" I said leaning a bit into the counter
"James Barnes and this Steve" He said stretching his hand out for me to shake and the other guy waved looking a little less shy.
"I'm Y/N, nice to meet you" I gave him my hand and smiled at him. Now, this moment replays in my head just like the dance and memories we shared for when he was here. Wishing to go back in time to prevent him from going on that mission with Steve. I lay on the floor clutching the letter of condolences to my chest wanting my soldier back in my arms.
Bucky TFAWS "Look Sam, you can't always back up your argument with the "I am Captain America, and I say so" bs man. Why do you even think me meeting this Bucky guy it's a good idea?" I said looking at the amazing yet annoying best friend I happened to choose. "Y/n, trust me he's a great guy. He may have a staring problem but he is a really nice guy. Look, he doesn't have anyone else but me right now, he needs more friends" Sam says crossing his arms and leaning against the doorframe of the living room, he has been insisting that I should meet his friend Bucky Barnes so he is not alone anymore. He's been going on and on about how he is and describing him so maybe I get the will to meet him. "Fine, I'll give it a shot. But if he gets too annoying I swear, I will sell his vibranium arm" I said getting up from the couch and walked towards Sam. "Yes! Oh lord, I will call him right away" he said very excited and giving me a brief hug before leaving to call the metal man. It can't be that bad, or can it be?
Carter Baizen (Gossip Girl) It was a normal day in New York, cabs passing by, entitled old people walking fast and average New Yorkers stuck on their phones. So much so that one of them almost knocked my drink over. I worked at a restaurant near the Empire State, well more like owned the restaurant. After 15 long minutes I made it to the restaurant, as soon as I walk in one of the hostess stops me "Morning boss, there's someone at your office that wants to talk to you obviously" she said "Sure thing, be there in a second" I replied making my way to the kitchen checking everything was under control. After a few minutes I went to my office and saw this quite tall slender guy paying attention to his phone. I enter the office quietly and made my way to the desk. "Good morning, sorry for making you wait Mr....." I said waiting for his answer "Baizen, Carter Baizen. It's very nice to meet you" he said getting up and stretching his hand out for me to shake. "Y/N Y/L/N, nice to meet you too" I shook his hand and smiled, it was that moment that ignited one of the most bittersweet yet wonderful moments of my life.
