This is also not romantic and based on canon characters should I make a separate thing for these? Lemme know!

"Error!" Ink yelled from across the hall, seeing Error and Nightmare talking. If you didn't know any better this was the scariest pair of people you could be walking up to. One dark with glitches and twitches going on every time he moved to the constantly glaring, extremely hard to read octopus. The two were so deep in a conversation they hadn't realized Ink walking up, he stopped however when he heard a odd sentence from Nightmare.
"Are you sure you don't want to hang with me and Dream? Our house is a lot better than that empty void and don't lie to me I know you don't like it there" Nightmares tone was so low it was hard to catch what he said. Nightmares voice was honestly one of the scariest things Ink had heard, it very much fit his entire profile, deep and sultry, with a hint of venom and wickedness.
"It's not that I don't want to..it's just..." Error stared off into space a moment, thinking about something so hard he actually drifted into it.
"Do you not feel comfortable?" Nightmare raised a brow at him, making Error come back to reality.
"I feel honestly like a burden" Error finally admitted, it was a whisper, but Ink still even heard it.
Ink decided to kinda hide himself so he wasn't so obviously ear dropping, feeling bad for his friend.
"Error...dude" Nightmare had to think his next words carefully, why in the past few days has he been a good friend? Wasn't his whole thing based on pain and suffering? Nope here he is about to comfort the legit destroyer of worlds.
"You are not a burden, I wouldn't fucking invite you if that was the case. I know you hate that fucking place you call home" even though Nightmare was cursing nothing about his tone was mean.
It was actually extremely sincere.
Error stared at Nightmare a long moment, his eyes gazing at the others face, looking for something that apparently he wasn't finding.
"You aren't lying" it wasn't a question.
"I'm not, actually a lot of us like you Error, you've really come around the last couple of months" Nightmare was speaking the truth, this dude used to creep even Nightmare out, the negative aura was always wrong around Error like it was almost to heavy to deal with at one time. Almost a bit intoxicating for Nightmare, and Nightmare hated to admit that to even himself.
However slowly, Error started joking with the others, talking to them, to the point Nightmare and Cross seemed to become close to the older godlike sans.
He actually vented to them, about his fears, his phobias, his comforts, his loneliness, etc.
so Nightmare wasn't joking or pretending when he said he hated it at the empty void. Sure, he could make anything appear if he wanted it too, but that wasn't honestly the same.
Error didn't want to admit how much that sentence touched him so he just looked at the floor.
"Error, cmon...I got whiskey" Nightmare smirked as Errors head perked up to actually look at the slightly taller skeleton.
Inks mouth dropped.
He likes alcohol?!? Not something he actually knew about Error and he has known that guy for a long while.
"You had me at whiskey"
"Atta boy!"
The two laughed and began walking to the end of the hall, right where ink was. Ink panicked, and decided to pretend he was just skipping around the corner.
"Hey guys!" Ink greeted the two.
Nightmare gave Ink a strange look, and Error only hissed.
"What do you want squid" answered Error.
"Boy aren't you grouchy glitchy!" Ink laughed after saying that, cause every time he said that nickname Errors face was priceless.
Error would blush and then practically hiss like a cat at him.
"Y'all are like the worst married couple I ever have seen" Nightmare said lazily, just watching the two with light amusement in his eye.
Ink decided to try his luck
"We should have a summer wedding Error!" Ink couldn't hold his laugh in as Error gave him his favorite glare.
The one that looked like Error was ready to strangle him. That blush spreading even more over his face.
Then he crashed.
"Oh no" ink was genuinely not trying to make him that overwhelmed. Oops.
Nightmare then gave Ink a knowing stare with a tight smile on his face.
"You are the worst at hiding you know that?" Nightmare put his hand on his hip like he was about to scold a child.
It was Inks turn to blush in embarrassment. Oh no he'd been caught.
"Unlike Error I'm always watching, plus I can legit feel your emotions dumb ass so next time don't even bother" Nightmare was glaring down at him as Error was rebooting, slowly.
"I didn't want to interrupt"
That was actually part of the truth.
"Do NOT repeat what was said today" Nightmare growled, giving ink a look that made his bones shake.
"Okay,okay!" Ink finally yelped out as Nightmare stepped closer to him.
Error finally came back up.
"Wha..."
"Welcome back" Nightmare said, acting like nothing had happened. Even backed to his original spot without seeming to move.
How did he do that?!?
Ink needed to learn some skills off this skeleton.
"I crashed?" Error seemed like he was embarrassed by it.
"Yeah but it's cool, you rebooted really quick" Nightmare reassured.
"Hey Error" Ink decided something needed to be said.
Error turned his attention to him, before he could say anything Ink spoke.
"You have very good friends, never feel as you don't" Ink said, giving him a warm smile, before waving and saying his goodbyes.
Error was frozen, letting the sentence sink into his bones all the way to his soul.
Nightmare looked furiously after him, right after he told that cheeky fucker to not say a damn word-
"He's right"
That snapped Nightmares attention to Error, who was staring at him.
Oh, OH.
Nightmare laughed kind of nervously, staring to walk again.
"Yeah you do, don't forget it dumb ass"
