Ink sat there, in the blank anti void, bored and alone.
He was not sure what emotion he was feeling right now, it wasn't happiness but it wasn't exactly sadness either. The craving for a certain someone's company was so strong it was almost painful.
A need perhaps.
Ink hadn't seen Error in a couple weeks, it was making him feel this weird feeling that he couldn't quite understand, this didn't come from a vial and it showed up even if he was happy.
Only when Error wasn't there.
Error caused this emotion, Ink had figured that out.
But why?
How did Error do that to him? Make him feel without a vial? It was so difficult to process it made poor Inks head spin.
The sound of a portal opening caught the rainbow squids attention, he turned to see a very not good looking Error. Error was covered in blood, the maroon drowned the blue and yellow and only darkened the red on his normal attire, which was shredded. Bones were snapped and bending as it seemed to make a audible crack as he shuffled into his home, his black safe haven.
Error was panting, spiting out blood from his teeth and hissing as he tried to move forward with good leg. The cracking of his other broken one was so loud in the emptiness, made Inks stomach twist and turn.
Cause the other one was broken, barely hanging on, the chipped bone was viable to Inks eye in a moments time. Ink jumped up and caught Error before he could fall, Error didn't even hiss or growl at him for touching him. Maybe it was because Error had a massive crack along his skull that was just pouring even more thick maroon down the guys face, possibly blurring his vision.
Error only then started trying to talk.
"Who...who.." was all he was getting out.
"It's me Error, Ink , I have you! it's okay" Ink spotted Errors one and only pieces of furniture he possessed in this huge land of white and that was the bean chair. With a nod to himself, Ink scooped up the broken mess that was practically shattering before him and started to carry him bridal style to the bean bag. The only response Ink got from that was a weak groan that came from the glitched mess of bones.
"I don't think you would've made it on your own Error, your kinda cracked up" Ink tried to make a pun but it was so bad even the writer cringed.
"This must be a dream.." Error mumbled, Ink looked at him confused.
"Why do ya say that?" Ink asked, finally reaching the huge, fluffy, blue beanbag. Ink, as gently as he could possibly manage, placed Error on the bean bag. The fluff immediately caressed Errors body like it was trying to protect Error with somewhat of its material. Probably an actual Error effect from his magic when he summoned the piece of furniture into existence.
"Cause your here when I need you" mumbled Error, who seemed very sleepy, the sentence was slightly slurred. Ink felt his chest tighten, what was this?
"But then again I think I always need you" Error whispered, Inks eyes widened at that comment. Was Error about to die? Cause this was way to sweet for his character.
No Error couldn't die, suffer sure, but not die.
"Uh...Error I think your loosing a little to much blood. You're not cussing me out" Ink joked, manifesting a first aid kit to his side. Error with his only viable eye, glared at Ink, making Ink let out a relief filled laugh. "I thought I was loosing you pal! There you are!" Ink started cleaning the blood from around his eye with a soft, wet and warm rag that Ink summoned into existence. Tension left Errors body the moment the rag touched his skull.
"T...thank you" Error got out, ink had to manifest two more rags just to clean his eye and the wound itself.
Ink tried his best, Dream was really the better healer, he knew all kinds of stuff about disinfecting and bandaging, etc. however, Ink just did what he could, unfortunately a lot of Errors bones had to be snapped back into place and that was a whole new type of fight between the creator and destroyer.
After what felt like hours, Ink had finally got Error what he guess he could call 'stable'. All his wounds clean and wrapped and his bones would heal correctly over time. For now, Error really needed to sleep but all Error did was stare at him.
Stare at him with eyes that were filled with Awe and confusion. Ink was almost self conscious by Error staring but Error did weird stuff all the time, and to be fair so did Ink.
"Hey...can you do me a favor?" Error finally got out, it was wheezy at best but he got the sentence out.
"Sure!" Ink chirped, beaming at the fact Error actually wanted him to help.
"Lay next to me" Error said this with a low voice, like it was fading.
Ink gave him a questioning look but did as he asked, the bean bag was massive, it was made to be a bed really. Ink laid next to Error, he tried to give Error as much space as he could, not wanting him to crash on top of all the other things that already were in play right now.
However, Error had other plans.
Error, with a groan rolled onto his side and clung to Iml for dear life. Pressing his face into Inks chest and wrapping his arms around Inks waist.
Ink had to keep from squealing from how many times he wanted Error and him to do this.
And Error to actually welcome it.
"Stay" was all Error got out before he was engulfed into darkness.
Ink felt Errors arms go limp around his waist, Ink sighed. Knowing he had finally passed out due to all his injuries and Ink thanked whatever god exists that Error didn't rip him to pieces for literally snapping his bones back in place.
Ink gently wrapped himself around Error in a protective manner, with a snap he whipped up a thick and fluffy blanket to cover both of them. Also to block poor error from sight of anyone who might drop by for a visit.
Ink looked down at his beaten up glitchy and smiled.
"I'm staying Error...I'll stay"
Hope y'all like the change of pace.
