(Okay...I'm back...)

"YOU SHOULD'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN THERE!" Nightmare growled, his voice making the room immediately shift their gazes onto him. Al was immediately up out of her seat, knowing this could get ugly quick. Dream was on her heels, looking extremely worried as Nightmare continued his tirade.
Now you must be just wondering what in the hell made him yell? Well it was this annoying monochrome skeleton who had his head held high and staring dead into the eyes of the king of emo's.
Excuse I mean, 'king of negative'.
The monochrome had almost hurt himself on set today due to a fight between him and Nightmare. Which don't be alarmed, was apart of the scene they were recording in todays session. However, the monochrome decided to be absolutely cheeky and try to pull his own amazing stunt for the cameras.
Yet, if not for Night noticing he was going to fall off the edge of the set and snatching in back onto it with absolute speed the skeleton would've been possibly been sitting here being glared at with a broken arm or leg rather than standing.
Right in front of the very angry octopus.
"Nights, buddy, calm down" Al said with a exaggerated sigh, she was now right next to him. Cross swore she was like his walking therapy person, she many times talked him out of flinging people into walls....drink machines....coffee table...etc.
"NO!" Nightmare roared, grabbing Cross by the jacket and jerking him forward.
"You should've stuck with the plan!" Nightmare hissed, now Cross was surprised that anger was not at all in the bright eye that was staring at him.
It was worry, fear.
What the fuck...was he genuinely just concerned?
For his safety?!
No...
Right?
"Nights!" Dream said loudly, not a yell, but it was tense and filled with urgency.
Al then grabbed Nightmares hand that was gripping onto Cross like a snake on its prey, Nightmare then turned to say something to her but he then saw the very burning stare coming from her.
Cause boy lemme tell ya...she's got a death glare that puts even Errors to shame.
Nightmare without looking away from Al, slowly let go of Cross, Cross almost could have sworn he heard Nights fingers crack as he released him.
"Now Dream, let's move grouchy ass outside" Al said lowly, now gripping the hand that was still in hers and leading the almost vibrating skeleton out the door.
Dream was keeping his hand on Nights shoulder, probably using his magic to keep Nightmare under lock down.
As the three left the room, Epic was circling Cross like a god damn dog.
"Bruh!!! That was insane!!! She's gotta teach me how to do that!" Epic said as he was looking over Cross like a damn worried mother hen.
"Before you even ask, I'm fine" Cross spoke with a lump in his throat, he couldn't get that image out of his head of Nightmare looking at him with actual worry in his eyes.
Panic even.
However the same was not happening to poor Nightmare who was sitting on a bench outside, with Al pacing in front of him like a angry mother.
"That was so not even necessary!" She squeaked out, her pacing getting faster now.
For someone so short she definitely moved incredibly fast. She was like a cat cornering it's prey and watching it until it made the absolutely wrong move.
"He could've!-"
"No! You got him, he was okay! I know you we're panicky but geez Nights, it's about time to tell that boy you have feelings towards him instead of acting like some kid on a play ground" Al stopped and gave him a good look of 'get your shit together'.
"I'm not a child!" Nightmare argued.
"You are acting like one!" She shot back, easily might he add.
Dream then sighed and patted Nightmares shoulder "once again brother, you've lost this argument".
Nightmare looked down, feeling heat spread through his bones, because his brother was 100% correct.
She was 100% right, he was acting like a boy rather than a 600 give or take year old god.
"I guess you're right...I shouldn't be acting like this" Nightmare said lowly.
"I'm sorry one more time, so I can you know, put this on camera that you said I was right?" Al teased.
"Don't push your damn luck" Nightmare grumbled.
"Oh I know you'd never hurt me so" then she stuck his tongue out at him.
She was still 100% right.
But...he got a evil grin on his face.
"Want to tussle then?" Nightmare said evilly.
A mischievous grin arose onto her face and she seemed to be beaming.
"You're on!"
And Dream then had sighed heavily, entering his role as a play parent as these two went into a play fight.

.
After many rounds of play fighting, Al was the victor, only because Nightmare let her. Her bouncing energy always contradicted with his very down to earth energy. Yet somehow it made the most beautiful friendship, yet, now he had to face the music, bite the bullet, and talk to Cross.
So why was it just so difficult?
Why couldn't it be simple?
He talked to people quite often now thanks to Dream but this was just not seeming to get any easier.
Maybe because very time he looked into those damn mismatched eyes his fucking soul swell and he felt like he was going to choke.
"You can fucking do this" Nightmare said to himself, before opening the door, taking him back to the room he not to long ago had been pulled out of.
Cross was sitting with Epic, playing uno (their favorite game mind you) seeming calm, watching his struggling opponent as Epic had maybe...50 cards in total in his hand.
Wow, that's sad actually.
Nightmare slowly walked toward the two, as if he was not trying to alert either of them, almost as if he was hunting them, about to pounce.
"Interesting game you two have seem to gotten yourselves into" Nightmare said lowly as he was now standing behind Cross, who yelped at the sudden voice behind him.
Cross wasn't ready for that either, dropping his cards and turning very quickly to meet the now very cool and collected Nightmare behind him. That eye was now full of amusement, looking at him with surprising warmth.
"Man! I was gonna win to!" Cross said with a pout, as he realized Epic indeed switched decks while he wasn't looking.
"Nope! Cross bruh I'll always be the champion" Epic said with a wide smile plastered on his face.
"Whatever!" Cross huffed out, Nightmare sat down next to him, almost brushing his arm against Cross' own. For some reason that set all kinds of butterflies off in his stomach, making him hyper aware of the fact that he had a major, oaky smokey, crush on this skeleton. That was exactly why he had done his ultra mega stunt earlier was to try and impress him.
Not almost fall off the set and commit injury.
(Why do I write like this is a crack fic...oh wait)
((Hey writer could you not comment half way in the fanfic please))
(No this is my fanfic and I'll do what I want, even if that means I write bunnymundxjackfrost fanfiction)

((Oh gawd now she's crying someone get her please))
(...back to the fic)
Nightmare was looking at epic now, watching him light amusement as the guy was now picking up the cards and trying to now build a pyramid out of them.
Nightmare sometimes wished he had the child like wonder Epic had, and then sometimes he really wanted to launch this skeleton into a drink machine.
Most times the latter, but that's beside the point.
Time to go in for the kill.
Nightmare then leaned into Cross making sure that what he was about to say was only heard by Cross..
"Hey Cross...want to go to Applebees with me?"
