Thanks, Jonen

(Jonen POV)

I stare at the screen in the square, filled with shock. She can't die. She can't. I won't let her.
Luckily, her cannon hasn't sounded yet, so I still have time to do something.
I know that it takes about 4 minutes to die from an arrow in the head, and it takes maybe 2 minutes to run home at top speed.
So that's what I do.
I run, faster than ever, to my house and pick up the telephone after dialling Pablo's phone number.
"Please," I start off, "help. Iris has been shot on the head and I want her to live. You have about a minute and a half to do something. Treat this as a sponsor gift. I'll pay for it."
"Okay. There's probably some medicine somewhere to help,"
"Well find it!" I snap and put down the phone.
Worried and nervous, I walk over to the television and turn it on. Iris is on the screen, just lying there in the middle of the desert. Come on Pablo. Just as I'm about to give up hope, a little parachute drifts down and lands on her wound. The camera zooms in and I realise that, attached to the parachute, is a little cotton bud soaked in medicine.
Thank you Pablo!
On the screen, Iris's eyes blink open. I pick up the phone again.
"Thanks Pablo!"
"No problem."
"Can I send her a note telling her it was from me, and some chocolate?"
"Okay."
"Thanks!"
I hang up on him and run back to the television.

(Iris POV)

I blink my eyes open, and immediately wince at the pain coming from the side of my head. The arrow is still stuck in my head, but... wait. I'm still alive! How? I was shot in the head with an arrow. Death would have been 4 minutes after that, unless some kind of Capitol medicine had helped me.
Carefully, I reach for my backpack and take out the bandages. Then I pull the arrow out and wrap the bandage around my head. As I zip my bag up, I notice something. A little parachute with a cotton bud attached. Medicine!
I look up at the sky and see another parachute floating down. When it lands, I grab it and open the capsule.
Inside is a note and a small bar of chocolate. I open the note first.
'You were dying, so I sent you some medicine. Keep going, you can win this. Love, Jonen.'
I break off a square of the chocolate and eat it.
With a smile on my face, I turn to the sky.
"Thanks, Jonen. "

Ah yes. Life. I wrote this chapter on 4th April, 2021, Easter Day, and I'm not really sure how I remember that. And sorry, I posted this chapter a day early by accident. Not that any of ya'll will know.
