The feast

I jump to my feet and run straight to the table, jump onto it and shove a handful of creamy chicken into my mouth. Then I start throwing a flurry of knives, most of them at random, using a couple from the table as well, at the two careers while Titus comes towards me and starts eating as much as he can in the space of a few seconds.
Then the careers get here.
For about half a minute, all 4 of us try and stuff our faces with food, until Kamalyn pulls me by my feet off the table and I land with a thump on the ground. She pins herself on top of me, again, and positions a knife above my heart. Now I'm going to die.
I start wriggling and squirming like a fish out of water, but it's not helping.
"Aww," she coos, "Little bunny can't get away this time!"
No, I can't. Not alone.
"Titus!" I scream at the top of my lungs, which surprises Kamalyn. She obviously didn't think I had any allies.
Titus leaps down from the table and lands next to me, swinging his curved blade around his head and pulls Kamalyn off me.
"Run Iris!"
I nod and sprint away, up the hill with apparent ease. There's no time to look back. No time to stop and help. He saved me, and I'm going to be forever grateful.
I'm almost at the top of the hill when a cannon booms, an echo in my head. Who was it? Kamalyn or Titus? Or Rift? Whoever it was, I'll find out tonight. I just hope it was Kamalyn.
I keep running, down the hill and away into the desert. My top priority is currently finding water again, or even better getting back to the trees.
After a few hours of running, I trip and collapse on a rock, exhausted. I take a few sips of water and nibble on a cracker, but to be honest I'm not hungry. The rich food from the feast is making me feel a quite sick, especially since I've been eating dry and slightly musty food for almost a week now. 6 days, I think. The day of the bloodbath, the day Robin and I set up camp, the day Robin died, the day I was shot, the day I met Titus, and today, the feast. Too long, in my opinion. Too long for me to have survived, especially since the end is coming.
My thoughts deteriorate into a black cloud that eventually leads to sleep. When I wake up, the sky is black and the anthem is playing. I stare up at the sky in anticipation, waiting for the face to be shown.
Titus.
No. No. No. No. No.
I should have saved him.
And now he, too, is gone.

I betcha all though that this would be like the feast in The Hunger Games  where the older boy saves the main character and kills the attacker, runs away and then the other career gets revenge and the main character and the career fight to the death... Lol nope, I wanted you to believe that, but I tend to twist things a little XD
