Right Time, Right Place

Part 17

Owen's POV:

I wake up and wrap my arms around Amelia. We are both off today and it is going to be spent trying to figure out when we are getting married. I put my hand under her shirt and rest it on her stomach. She is obviously not showing yet but I can't wait until she does. She opens her eyes and smiles at me, "You know there is nothing there right?"

"Well you might not be showing but there is something there. That is our baby" I smile at her.

"Owen stop you are going to make me start crying." She hits my chest.

We hear a knock on our door and Carmen walks in, "Hey mom can I use your curling wand for my hair?"

I smile at Amelia after hearing Carmen call her mom and Amelia sits up, "Yeah its in our bathroom in the second drawer. Do you want help doing it?"

Carmen nods, "Sure!"

Amelia gets out of bed and goes into the bathroom and starts curling Carmen's hair. I walk in and look at Carmen, "Is this for a boy?"

The girls both laugh and Carmen shakes her head, "No it is not. I just have to look nice for a presentation."

I nod, "Okay good. You're too young. Your first soccer game is tonight isn't it?"

"Yep. It's an away game so you guys don't have to come if you don't want too. Im riding the bus there with my team and then I can have a friend drop me back off here tonight"

"Of course we are going. Just send me the address and we will be there. We are off today so that won't be an issue either." I smile at her as she nods.

After Amelia finishes her hair we go downstairs to eat some breakfast and then Carmen heads off to school.

"So do you want married in a church?" I ask Amelia as we are sitting at the table trying to plan things out. Amelia is planning a guest list and I am trying to find the venue.

She shrugs, "We aren't really that religious Owen. Can we do something outdoors?"

"Sure. We can do that barn type thing. Chairs can be set up, it is outdoors. We can have lights it'll be great. I will get that booked." I start researching on my laptop to see when we can get dates.

"My bridesmaids will be Meredith, Maggie, Megan and I will ask Carmen to be my maid of honor. That way we keep it small." Amelia says out loud while she is writing things down, "Who are your men?"

"Oh boy. I guess Nathan is my best man. The other groomsmen can be Derek, Jackson, and Karev. Is Derek going to walk you down the aisle too?"

Amelia nods, "Yeah he is but he can also be your groomsmen that is fine. This works out great so far."

I am scrolling on my laptop and see dates, "Alright so we get married on Saturday October 9th. That gives us a little over a month. And you could buy your dress a few days before."

She walks over and sits on my lap and smiles, "We are getting married Owen"

"Yes we are. This wedding planner will get it all taken care of. She can work fast. So this means you can relax and keep our little bean healthy."

I wrap my arms around her and hug her. She picks up my phone, "We should FaceTime your mom! We need to tell her about the baby, how carmen is doing, and our date."

"Alright go ahead" I chuckle as she hits the call button.

"Hi guys! What's up?" My mom says as she answers the phone smiling. "How is Carmen? Is she there?"
