The Finale

Carmen - 22 (23 next month)
Blake - 8 (9 in July)
Logan & Daniel - 7 (Turned 7 in January)
Sadie - 4 (Turned 4 in January)

Chris's POV:

(Flashback...) Timeline for right now so it makes sense...This is about a year before May 14th.

I have knocked on the door to the Hunt house millions of times, this time though is nerve racking. Owen opens it, "Chris! We just got off FaceTime with Carmen, she didn't say anything about you being back in Seattle."

"She doesn't know." I chuckle a little nervous. "This will make more sense once I talk to you and Amelia I promise."

Owen nods and lets me in, "Well let's talk. Mel!" He yells up the steps and a few seconds later Amelia comes down with 3 year old Sadie.

"Oh my God. Sadie seriously does look exactly like you Amelia."

Amelia laughs and sets her down to go play, "She's a handful, but we love her. What's up? How long are you back for? Carmen comes home for the summer in a few days!"

I follow them out into the kitchen where Owen and Amelia both lean against the counter. "So as you guys know, Carmen and I have been together for a really long time. I love her so much, your daughter absolutely means everything to me."

Amelia gasps a little bit, "Chris is this what I think it is!"

"I'm asking for you blessing to marry Carmen." I say looking at both of them.

Amelia claps and hugs me, "Of course! Oh my gosh I can't wait." I laugh and hug her back. I look at Owen who still, to this day makes me slightly nervous.

He nods his head, "Of course Chris." He smiles. "You make my daughter the happiest person ever. It's amazing to see the way her eyes light up when she talks about you, which is often." He chuckles.

"Thank you guys. I know how important you are to her, so I knew I had to ask. I am home for a month. So I am going to propose when she comes home. I have it all planned out already. I even have the ring."

"With you!? Let me see!" Amelia says

I laugh and take the box out of my pocket. I open it up and show it to them. Amelia puts her hand over her mouth, "She is going to love it Chris!"

Owen nods, "Might be better than the one I gave Amelia." We all laugh.

--- The Proposal...

I picked Carmen up from the airport. She had a late flight, so the sun is just about to start setting. She has no idea what is going to happen today. She jumps into my arms, "Chris! I thought my parents were picking me up."

I smile, "We made some changes. Are you not happy to see me?"I chuckle

"I'm very happy babe!" She smiles and kisses my cheek. "What are we doing?" She asks as I hold her hand and start walking.

"I was thinking we could go up to our lookout spot. We haven't been there in a while. Perfect start to your summer too."

"Ooo sure!" She smiles.

What Carmen currently doesn't know is that our "look-out spot" is currently decorated thanks to our families. Our families are also there and are going to be watching from a distance. I am so incredibly nervous. I know she will say yes, this is still just a big moment.

We park at the bottom of the path and get out. She hugs me, "I love you Chris."

I smile and kiss her, "I love you too Car. Come on I wanna see the sunset. Even though I already have a beautiful view in front of me."
