Owen's POV:

Carmen is staying home with her siblings today while Amelia and I go to work. I'm walking in with my wife and she looks up at me, "you nervous for your first day back?"

I shake my head, "no I've got to go talk to Derek though. I think I'm going to let him be chief. I did it for a long couple of years. Did he like covering for me?"

Amelia nods, "He did. Are you sure though you loved being chief?"

"Yeah, I just would like to be able to spend more time with my family." She smiles at me and nods, "I won't argue with that!"

We walk down to the chiefs office and find Derek. "Owen! Welcome back!" Derek says as he pats my back.

"Thanks Derek. Now I've got to ask you an important question."

He nods, "Go ahead."

"Do you want to remain chief? I'm stepping down. Chief of trauma is enough for me."

Derek smiles, "I'd love too! Thanks Hunt."

Amelia smiles at both of us and I talk again, "I'll come get my stuff out of here later before I leave." We leave the office and walk down the hall. I put my hand on Amelia's back, "I hope you have a good day"

She smiles at me, "I hope you do too. I might be late tonight though. I have a surgery scheduled for 3:00."

"Do you want me to wait for you to go home? I know we brought separate cars but it's no problem."

She shakes her head, "It's okay! Go home and spend some time with the kids later. They missed you a lot."

I smile, "Alright. I'll see you around then. Love you." I kiss her then walk down to the ER.

"Kepner! What do we have?" I announce as I walk over to the desk. April smiles, "Owen! You're back. ER always felt like it was missing something without you."

I laugh and hug her, "Thanks April." She hands me an iPad to look at things, "Oh we have someone new working with us. He's young, 18 I think. He's helping clean, answer phones all that fun stuff."

"Oh that's nice. What's his name? Is he here today?" I ask looking up at her.

"No he's not working today. His name is Chris though."

"Chris. Is he tall, blonde curly hair, blue eyes?"

April nods, "Uhm how do you know that?"

I laugh, "That's Carmen's boyfriend. He's a good guy, he'll be a good help."

"Aw yay!" She claps and I laugh. A trauma comes in a few minutes later and I run outside. I get a patient and yell at a nurse, "Page Neuro"

A few minutes later Amelia runs in the room, "Someone paged neuro?" I look up and smile, "Hi Dr. Hunt, I need a consult on my patient."

"I can do that." She smiles and does the consult. The patient looks at her, "Wow you're beautiful."

Amelia ignores the teenager and keeps doing her exam. "Are you married? I don't see a ring."

"Follow my light sir." She holds it up and he does it then asks again, "Are you married?"

She finishes and looks at him, "You need to go get a CT, but for the record I am married. To him." She points to me. His eyes widen, "Sorry dude. I mean doctor."

I laugh, "It's alright. I will have someone take you to get those scans." I call an intern over and they take him up. I stand beside Amelia at the desk, "Do patients hit on you a lot?" I ask laughing.
