Hi guys :)

I'm super sorry for the late update! I've been sick for a few days now and have been loaded with schoolwork and other college stuff...

Anyways this is a pretty long chapter, so I hope you guys like it!

Aubrey's Point of View:

"Hey, so the guys and I were gonna go out for a little..." Nate started while he searched around for something in the room. "I uh, I don't think we will be out long," He cut himself off, pausing to think before turning to look at me. "Anyways, I think the girls wanted to do something with you and were looking for you." Nate finished.

We have a few days left in the Hamptons. It's currently Thursday, and we're leaving to go to Europe on Sunday. I'm so excited, but also kind of nervous. I've been to some countries in Europe before, but now I'm going to go to places I haven't been. Like I've never been to Greece, England, or even Spain. I can't wait to go to France though, we're going to be in France for like a week, and the guys are only playing two shows, so we'll be staying at Nate's grandparents house for a little bit, the place where he grew up essentially.

"Oh okay." I replied, not really registering  what he had said because I got distracted thinking about Europe.

"Have fun... wait where- what are you guys doing?" I asked, looking up at him feeling confused.

"I have no idea to be honest with you." He said raising his brows. "Maybe we'll take a drive someplace, but anyways, I'll see you later." Nate said suspiciously as he smiled, and closed the door. Leaving me feeling very confused.

"Have fun?" I said, almost as a question. I dropped my hands to my sides once the door was shut and he was gone.

"Weird." I mumbled to myself as I shook my head, my curls bouncing slightly as I placed a hand on my forehead.

I can't stop thinking about what happened yesterday. I mean I obviously don't want to think about it but I can't help it. Nate practically coddled me in the middle of the boardwalk while I sobbed into his shirt. I'm genuinely such a mess and I did tell Nate the honest truth. I am so so petrified of Kyle. Seeing him really screwed with my mind and released a floodgate of horrifying memories... and I'm terrified of him.

Me bawling like a baby to Nate also didn't hurt my already incredibly bruised ego whatsoever. Nope, that totally wasn't embarrassing as hell.

On the other side of the room I heard my phone ringing, so I walked over to pick it up.

Unknown Number.

That's really weird.

Usually I avoid these calls because it's always some weird scam or something, but I'm just going to pick it up cause who knows this time, and if it's a scam I'll just hang up.

"Hello?" I said as I picked up the phone and held it to my ear.

"Hi Aubrey, it's Kyle."

I almost threw up.

That was enough to make the tips of my ears hot and make my stomach grow weak.

"Listen about the other night..." He began before I cut him off as my heart began to pound out of my chest.

There's absolutely no way that this is happening.

"How did you get this number?" I asked, beginning to feel myself getting hotter with anger. My skin felt like it was on fire and my whole body was becoming more and more tense.

The creaky fan above me made a noise, distant from me. But still loud enough for me to hear, and close enough to where it could cool me off in the slightest. The constant waves of cool air was exactly what I needed right now because otherwise I probably would've passed out from the anger and heat combined.
