Nate's Point of View:

I opened the door to her bedroom and jingled the keys to grasp her attention. She turned around once she heard the keys clashing against each other, brows furrowing as I shot her a cocky smile.

I scrunched up my own brows, watching as her eyes drifted toward the keys.

"Ready?" I questioned.

A slow but small grin split her lips as she nodded excitedly.

Perfect.

Yeah, yesterday I was pretty fucking exhausted. I was barely able to function at the game and almost fell asleep mid-pretzel bite which was actually kind of hilarious. I've been doing my normal routine, just minus the sleep because like I told Aubrey, I've been lacking sleep as of late.

I'm not an insomniac, or at least I don't think I am. I mean I go months sleeping normally or at least trying to, and then I'll have periods of time where no matter what I do my brain is still wired for some goddamn reason. It's actually so frustrating but I don't talk about it because I don't want Brendan to get all dad-like on me and make me go get it checked out.

Anyways yeah yesterday with the heat, me having gotten no sleep in days, and everything else? I was gassed out. I was so thankful though that Aubrey took me back to the suite, and for the fact that I was able to get some rest for a few hours because I desperately needed it.

Last night I actually was able to sleep for seven consecutive hours. Impressive? I know.

After she came into my room last night and we talked about me as a person and whatever we just continued to lay there and talk for a while. Before I knew it, we both dozed off and this morning I woke up, still holding her hands. I like to think that the reason as to why I slept so well last night is because she was there beside me.

She's an angel.

And now I'm going to scare the fuck out of her by doing donuts in a parking lot.

Or in a field...

"Let's go," I said, jingling the keys again for emphasis to which she knelt down and began lacing up her converse again.

"So what's the plan again exactly?" She questioned while tugging at the dirty white laces. "You're driving down the autobahn and then what exactly..." She shook her head which made me laugh softly.

"I'm driving us down the autobahn to an empty parking lot to which we will proceed to spin around in circles in till either one of us passes or pukes." I joked as she shook her head while laughing softly. "Have you ever done donuts before?" I asked.

That made her chuckle softly as she stood up and wiped her palms down her shirt and shorts. She pressed her lips into a tight-lipped grin and shook her head regretfully as I stared at her flatly. "No," She began as she reached back to tie her curls into a ponytail. "Unfortunately, I can't say I have."

I raised my brows, pretending to be surprised by the "confession" when in actuality I knew there was absolutely no way in hell she would have ever done donuts before. At least I can give her another experience she'll never forget, and open her eyes to something that's dangerous, something that she's never done before.
