Long and intense chapter ahead... good luck! hahaha
Honestly, poor Aub </3
Aubrey's Point of View:
"So you're not seeing your mom and sister for Thanksgiving this year?" Tahlia asked as I shook my head no.
I haven't seen Tahlia in a long time, so I invited her over for Thanksgiving, also because I wanted to have someone come over because of how scared I've been lately now knowing my famous rockstar neighbors are part of a mafia. Plus, and thankfully, she didn't have anything to do for Thanksgiving and neither did I. My mom is in Paris with some guy I haven't met, and my sister is spending it with her boyfriends family.
Tahlia doesn't know anything about Bloodline and what had happened with me. I haven't told her yet, and I don't know how I should be breaking the news to her. I don't even know if and when I was going to tell her. A part of me is still contemplating what I'm going to do when February comes. Move? There's no way I'm going with them on a literal tour, because I know that they're part of a mafia. I'm literally in college.
"No, my mom went to Venice with some guy, and my sister went to her boyfriends house." I told her while leaning against the dishwasher.
I feel like I have to tell her. I'm going to, I'm just freaked out and I don't know how.
She sat in a chair at the island and sipped on some red wine that she had brought herself. I don't have a relationship with my mother and sister. My mother is greedy and spoiled, takes my grandfathers, who is my dads fathers money. It's heartbreaking to see and I just don't like it. I don't know how my father could've ever married someone like her. And what's worse is that she used to be different, never like this growing up. And unfortunately my sister used to be different than my mother, but now she's the exact same.
"Not even your grandfather?" she asked as I shook my head no while drying a plate.
I wish I could've seen my grandfather, I haven't seen him in what feels like a really long time.
"He went to Paris on a solo trip. He deserves it for putting up with my mom." I said while thinking of my grandfather in Paris.
I wonder what he's doing right now. The old man with a crinkly smile, just like my fathers. I've never been to Paris, and it's my dream to go there one day.
"And Joseph isn't coming either?" she asked as I shook my head.
We also haven't seen Joseph in a long time, which was kind of weird.
Everything is so off right now. It's been exactly a week since I saw the guys doing what they were doing. I've barely left my apartment, only for grocery shopping and school obviously. I've also been trying to calculate when they could possibly leave their apartment which is a lot harder than you'd think.
"Damn. Looks like it's just gonna be you and I. I would ask if I could sleepover but I can't tonight." she said trailing off vaguely looking to the side with a smile.
"Why not?" I asked, looking at her confused. I had thought for sure that she'd be sleeping over tonight.
"Black Friday is tomorrow!" she laughed as I shook my head with a smile.
"Haha, we'll have fun tomorrow then." I laughed with a smile.
"Thank you! I'd also ask you to come with me... However you don't go at the same speed as me." she said as my jaw fell lightly with a smile.
"I mean you could come if you'd like!" she added as I looked down and smiled.
"I'm fine, but thanks." I said while working on the food again.
