Nate's Point of View:
Back in the US
We're at a bar.
In LA.
Yes, it's been a few months but we're finally back in the US and god it feels really good. We finished touring and I miss it a lot even though the break is much needed and really nice. We ended up touring throughout the rest of Europe, hit some spots in South America, and Australia, and a few other places but we're finally back and things could not be better. It's December now actually, crazy right?
Things have been going wonderfully with Aubrey and I couldn't be happier. The tour has been going well, there haven't been any fights since the ball in July. Shit with the mafia hasn't been hectic at all and we haven't had to do much in regard to that which is incredible. We haven't seen Devil's Spawn since that ball and I'm very much thankful for that.
I don't know what happened since that night to now, but everything has been smooth sailing since then. It's probably been the most relaxed I've felt in literal years. I'm thankful for it all, but still somewhere in the back of my brain is thinking about Brady and what he said in the cell.
"You both screwed me over," Brady said flatly and matter-of-factly. "And now," He took a breath, suddenly looking stressed. "Now I have to deal with Giovanni." He continued as I glanced at Brendan who was paying attention to Brady intently.
"Watch your back."
I've tried not to think about it too much because I don't want to freak myself out, but then again, the entire thing just freaks me the fuck out.
He hasn't written, called, or reached out in any way. I haven't seen him anywhere even though our schedules match up with each other. It doesn't make any sense that we haven't run into the four of them at all since July. I mean it's literally been six months.
"Watch your back."
I hear those three words in the back of my brain and it's unsettling. Anytime I see a picture of him pop up on my feed or on the TV, chills run down my spine. Maybe he just said it as a loose threat, needing to say something at the given moment, but at this point, I'm not so sure. Fuck, I mean it's been six months, why would he wait six months to get his "revenge".
I also don't know what Giovanni did to him and the guys since they didn't retrieve the painting. After that night I had seen images of them online and on stage and it was obvious that they had gotten beat. They didn't look horrible since the cuts and bruises were covered with makeup, but I just know it had to be bad. Alessandro is ruthless, but Giovanni is ten times worse.
I also don't know if Giovanni did something to Brady's family.
I hope to god not.
A smack to my shoulder jolted me, forwards so that I was pressed up against the bar even more. I turned around and a small grin took over my face when I saw my favorite British person.
Or maybe my favorite person?
Let's not tell him that.
I smiled even brighter when I turned around fully. "Oy mate," I joked in an awful British accent.
He raised his brows, widening his glassy-looking eyes. "Oy," He smiled and nodded before taking another sip of beer and looking around the bar.
"You having fun?" I asked, shaking my head as Evie appeared a moment after I asked.
