The next day. . .
John lays upon a bed in the Infirmary bored out of his mind his broken arm from the previous day in a cast, his phone vibrates in his hand he turns it on. "Where are you class is about to start, and you don't want to fail do you?" Josephine's text reads, he sighs. Why won't she leave me the hell alone, she's been texting me non-stop since we moved to the dorms. Doesn't she have better things to do? It vibrates again.
"Don't tell me that you're in the infirmary again!" another text reads.
"Shut the fuck up already!" he responds.
"I'll come get you during lunch, and give you the notes from our morning periods." she texts back.
"Whatever do what you want." he replies.
"Always, see you at lunch." she says, as the bell rings. John lays his phone flat on the bed and rolls to the side, footsteps soon follow.
"Morning, Doc." Sera responds
"Jeez, didn't expect to see you walking in here first thing looking like that." Doc replies.
"Yeah, well my abilities still haven't returned. So, I'll need some help healing this." she explains.
"You could at least make an effort to wipe off the blood. If the others see you walking around like that, it'll cause confusion." Darren comments.
"Oh, oops I thought I already had." Sera responds John glances over his shoulder, Sera? What's she doing here? he sits up a smile on his lips. "Didn't realize there was this much."
"Alright. It doesn't look too bad. I'll patch up the opening and mix something for you." Darren explains, "Give it an hour and you should be fine."
"Heyoo!" John greets from around a curtain.
"What the hell John?!" Darren says, "GET BACK TO BED!"
"Hey. Not surprised to see you here." Sera gestures, "Where's Josephine?"
"In class, being a good student where else." he replies and shrugs, he glances over his gaze locking on the wound in the middle of her forehead, that useless bitch she had one job.
"Maybe you should follow her example then." she says as Darren dresses her injury, once finished with the bandages she sits at the bottom of John's bed. "Hm, so this is what it's like." Sera comments, "You always make it seem like the end of the world, but this isn't so bad. It's not much different then hanging out on the roof."
"Sera." he states, his tone changing.
"Hm?"
"Who did this to you?" she faces him, rage plastered all over his face. "And why wasn't Josephine the to protect you?"
"Dunno, never seen the girl before." she shrugs, "As for Josephine I saw her hanging out with that friend of hers, besides I can take care of myself I don't need your sister protecting me."
"Describe the girl." he requests waving aside her comment, that was odd why did he ask about her and then completely disregard what I said, She sighs and looks away.
"A green-haired girl with buns on her head." Sera explained, "Doesn't matter it's not like she did it on purpose."
"Of course she did!" John replies instantly, Sera returns her gaze back to John.
"How would you know? You weren't even there." she asks, "She ran up to me afterwards and apologized herself."
"It was an act. She was lying." John states, "A perfect headshot? Nobody would dare throw anything in your direction. . . Unless they had some kind of death wish. She was aiming for you. No doubt."
